I am going to do this.
The Political Review: 1751
]
Europe:
As 1751 rolled around, Europe saw expansion, intrigue and trade. The continent saw no war, but open hostility. The political powderkeg that is Europe did not explode, but alliances and spy attacks have only prepared the continent for a World War
Iberia: Not much happened to Iberia. They did not expand, and they did not declare war. They did, however, expand their military and their industry. They began trading with nations the world over, boosting their economy considerably. They are suspected in sponsoring the rebellion in Southern France.
Celtic Union: They, too, did not expand, instead mirroring Iberia. They also had a rebellion in France, but it was quickly crushed by a unit of regulars.
Norskandia: This nation took the agressive route this year, colonizing Northeast Europe. They seem to be intent on expanding further in that area. They, too, engaged in the trading frenzy that accompanied 1751.
The Merchant Republic of Italia: They engaged mostly in economic buildup and trade, skyrocketing to the top of the economic totem pole. They have recently claimed Central Europe as their own, and formed a defensive alliance with Romania-Yugoslavia.
Poland-Lithuania: The nation that most openly threatens European peace, they declared open hostility towards most of Europe. Poland seems purposely trying to get themselves destroyed, threatening some of the most powerful nations on Earth. They also failed to colonize the province of Bradenvurg, a province already claimed by Italia.
Romania-Yugoslavia: This nation recently signed a defensive compact with Italia against Poland Lithuania. The expanded into formerly Ottoman land, competing with Keme for the middle east.
Africa: Only two established nations have arisen in Africa: South Africa and Keme.
South Africa: South Africa remained peaceful and traded.
Keme: The king of Keme decided to build up his nation, which will undoubtably help in the long run. Otherwise, he remained peaceful.
Asia: There were three nations in Asia. Now there are two.
Hindustan: They colonized Central India, expanding their borders. The military build-up required to take this province hurt their economy, but made up for it with the added land it brought.
China: It sent men swarming over their border into Mongolia, annexing it with only a loss of 1,000 men.
Mongolia: Integrated by China.
Oceania: Oceania saw a devestating blockade, increasing the tension.
The Iron Islands: The lord of the Iron Islands took advantage of Australia's lack of navy, implementing a flawless blockade on them. This act allowed the Islands to attempt to extort money from Australia, to the worlds distaste.
Australia: Their economy was crippled, with absolutely no income from trade due to a complete and unchallenged blockade by the Iron Islands. Luckily for them, the war ended with no loss of territory.
South America: South America saw the expansion of some, with the stagnation of others.
The Cape Republic: They expanded into Brazil, bringing their full military might to bear. Although they still lack borders with any nation, they do not seem far off from obtaining one.
Venezuala: They remained stationary and focused on build-up, not expansion.
North America: North America has seen its fair share of powers, with four nations.
New Wales: They expanded north, into the tundra of Ontario. They are one of the more powerful nations in NA, with the most provinces.
Dene: These northern poples remained geared up for war, mobilizing thousands of men and sailors.
Dixie: They, too, remained stationary, waiting for the right time to march on Texas.
The Empire of California: This empire has remained peaceful, but seemingly has plans on Mexico, as it is one of the few places to expand in North America.
