Languages: Modern Luxembourgish (a combination of the old Luxembourgish, French, German, and Dutch, languages)
History: Burgundy is the name of a nation that will go down in European Infamy, Once more powerful than the Kingdom of France herself, she once ruled an empire within eastern France and the Low Countries conquering the small un-unified nations one by one no one could stop them, not even the Holy Roman Emperor Himself. Holding the Holy Roman Empire under hostage the Electorates had no choice but to declare the Duke of Burgundy Emperor, and not even the pope could withstand Burgundy's might and was forced to crown him emperor. Only one city was able to hold out, the fortress of Luxembourg. The Empire of Burgundy had conquered the rest of the Low countries and the Rhineland with Luxembourg the last city standing in their way for complete control of the low countries. The people of Luxembourg fought and defended valiantly, taking heavy causality but always stopping the Burgundian advance. The people of the Low Countries took inspiration and pride in Luxembourg's defense, they wanted to be free, and rebelled against their Burgundian masters, taking back the Low Countries and the Rhineland as Luxembourg's united culture united these two people. Burgundy became a shadow of its former self eventually being absorbed by France. With the People of the Low Countries free they decided to join Luxembourg in their nation out of respect for inspiring them to become free, now Luxembourg is one of the most powerful and wealthy trading nations in Europe, and is seeking more glory in new undiscovered lands and by uniting more of Northwestern Europe.
One Strength: Luxembourgian Trading Companies - The Free Trade policy of Luxembourg has allowed multiple Trading companies to develop many by private investors and many by the government, this has created a very favorable balance of trade toward Luxembourg, and a few Joint-Stock companies bent on searching and colonizing new lands to make money.
One Flaw: Low Countries - With much of the Land of the Grand Duchy below sea level it is difficult to find places to live, Massive Dikes have been built to hold back the water flow, but that causes massive upkeep cost and it is difficult to build more, or pump out water if a dike breaks, thus raising upkeep
