Sultan Alphonse I, Emperor of the Austrians, is on his horse at the head of the great army on the Pannonian Plains. Ahead of him, an equally great army of the King of Hungary assembles.
"Charge!", the two monarchs shouts simultaneously.
The opposing cavalry forces advance towards each other, kicking up two great clouds of dust that follows the horsemen to converge in the middle of the battlefield. The dust obscures the battle from view.
The dust finally settles, to reveal... the two armies standing facing each other. There are no bodies on the ground.
"Well... this is a bit awkward.", quips the Austrian Emperor.
"So, we're like, supposed to kill each other?", says the Hungarian King.
"I don't know. I'm kinda new on the job."
"Hey, me too."
"So, your dad..."
"Yeah, he died recently."
"Sorry."
"Thanks. And, uh, sorry about your dad too."
"Thanks, but my dad died when I was a baby. I got the Empire from my uncle."
"Oh okay"
"I kinda wished he taught me a bit more about this war stuff though."
"Yeah. I haven't learned much from my dad either. I think he wanted to keep his work life and family life separate."
"Uh... so... what now?"
"So I try stabbing you with this sword."
"And I'll try stabbing you with mine."
"..."
"Hey, do you play chess?"
"Yeah."
"How about a match"
"Sure."
*A couple of hours later*
"Damn, stalemate"
"Oh well. Good game"
"Good game"
"How about we call it a day. It's getting late."
"Yeah, I don't really feel like killing you at the moment."
"Yeah, let's leave it till tomorrow."
"Okay"
"See ya"
"See ya".
