IOT Organisational and Discussion Thread

Its Sonereal!

I thought he was drowned!

Oh, yes, he was. Turns out he's half Zora so it's k.

Cue the flaming in 3...

Not for good. Until March 17th and whenever I start feeling better.

You all can't get rid of me that easy!
Well, you almost made me panicked. First VR left us, then you make a return and head back to the shadows.

So, in case anyone was ever curious how a live IOT will go, a few of us held one over chat:

Spoiler :

3 players, 2 NPCs. I GMd, it actually went quite well.

Iron and Blood 2 Update

kiwitt is busy with other things at the moment, so I've launched a coup d'etat taken over as GM and instituted a totalitarian dictatorship suggested some changes to the game based partly on how the (very short) internal beta went and mostly on a whim. Those who do have access to the development group can view the details there, and despite how I may have come across there I do genuinely want comments and suggestions.

Edit: Nevermind

Life is suddenly busy.

I'm going to take a few weeks away from non-life until it gets less busy.

I am resigning from all IOTs I'm currently in and leave the fates of those nations to the GMs concerned.
Make sure that Sonereal doesn't drown, Christos doesn't take over Greece, taillesskangaru doesn't start I&B2 and Double A doesn't destroy the world... At least not until I get back.
And I will be back.

Bring me some wizards when you return!

Hope everything goes through smoothly. Good luck with life.

Harvesting takes less manpower than planting.

How do nomads settle? Does civil decrease their chances of getting an infected soldier/leaving him behind if they're passing through plagueopia? How do nomads cross seas? Will you be using an Earth map with really big-ass oceans that'll potentially screw over nomads (especially in the Americas) or something else?

Do those 25 all survive? If a country razes a fort does the surrounding land go neutral? And if so, is expansion only done with forts? Can countries sell forts and the surrounding land?

Would I be a good lawyer?

I'm assuming that we're back to basics with harvesting and that it would take a ton of people to bring in the harvest anyway. A later Farmer Tech decreases the manpower required for Harvesting.

Why not make it 1 pop harvests 5.1 to 5.5 food at the start?

I'm using a regional map that'll more than likely only include the New World. There won't be navies.

So a really, really early time period?

Building a fort? Yes. It's best to build all your forts in the summer or winter when you're not using them for anything else.

So no work accidents or zerg economics? That's nice. What happens if you allocate everyone who isn't in the army to building forts in the off seasons?

You'd be a good comb.

Lobbyist it is!
