IOT Organisational and Discussion Thread

Maybe he's just need a break. IOTs can, how do I say it, generate mixed feelings. Or he just has problems in real life. Either way, if he wants to go, he goes.

Take care out there, Sonereal. :) And if you are really in trouble, I'm here if you want to talk.

well, obviously and we (at least I) won't think any less about Sone for it.

@Sone: I think, judging by the comments, we all hope to see you return :) And like Tailless said, If you do have trouble and there is anything, just ask :)

Take care Son. Hopefully one day, you will return to continue your great GMing and sowing of discord. :)

Oh God, we only have Tani left

How can Sonereal leave? He was the glue that held us all together...

*Notices that I haven't made a post in a week*

We can't both fade away...

Also I love the way that my rule-set is being used again. Once real life clears up I must start a sequel to Spirit of Man.

Why did he leave? :(
We might never know... until he returns :)
If he returns...
Be he must! :D
He has to, right?

I haven't been in an IOT since Iron and Blood Redux collapsed, but I might join TIOT I: Wreckage at Washington.

Some ideas for future IOTs:

(No title at the moment): Takes place in Europe a century after the Singulatarian Wars devastated civilisation everywhere. Relatively standard IOT, but like ME you could have magic, uplifted animals, etc.

Avatar: the Middle Kingdom (Working Title): Heavily inspired by Avatar: the Last Airbender, but takes place in Asia, and Energybending is replaced by Ku, from Japanese thought. Players can choose to play a nation of Waterbenders, Earthbenders, Firebenders, Airbenders, or Kubenders. Alternatively, it could be the 4 Elements as seen in the show.

The Peshawar Lancers 3: Like my last two iterations of the Peshawar Lancers, but this takes place in 1900, and every part of the world is available for play. Tech is restricted to 1900 or less.

Avatar: the Middle Kingdom (Working Title): Heavily inspired by Avatar: the Last Airbender, but takes place in Asia, and the 4 elements is replaced by the 5 Elements of Chinese thought. Players can choose to play a nation of Woodbenders, Firebenders, Earthbenders, Metalbenders, or Waterbenders. Alternatively, it could be the 4 Elements as seen in the show.

I'd play this, and why not take a third option and include all six elements? (Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Wood, and Metal)

Air wasn't an an element in Chinese thought.

Another Idea:

Dragon Kings, Dying Queens
working title, could end up being a NES, planned for early 2013
A IOT on the scale of I&B, instead taking place in a Earth of 2050 AD, where humanity has reached a crossroads. Players will have to face the challenges of rising seas and diminishing resources and eventually will be faced with two options: fight or flight.
The game will involve planetary colonization and action on multiple maps.

What about boron? Or chlorine?

Unfortunately, elements in classical thinking tended to represent states of matter (and then some) instead of chemical elements.
