Unless your identical twins, your genes aren't the exact same. Every species in nature strives to reproduce to pass its own genes on to the next generations. Individuals whose genes are detrimental to this purpose usually lose out in the evolutionary race.

Evolutionarily you reproducing is more important than your siblings reproducing. In a evolutionary sense, heterosexual is the Norm and is what is supposed to be as that is what satisfies nature's purpose the best. Its not always politically correct, but science usually isn't.

Biological evolution stopped for H. sapiens thousands of years ago. Societal evolution has taken its place.

Besides, homosexuality can be quite adaptive. It is an integral part of bonobo society, for instance.

No, my reproduction isn't necessarily more important than that of my siblings. It's a matter of the genes that make up you surviving, not your genes surviving. There's a difference.

Yeah, but Bonobos, even if they practice homosexuality, are still in the end heterosexual, they aren't unattracted to the opposite sex when mating season comes. Bonobos who aren't attracted to the opposite sex come mating season don't pass their genes on and their line dies out eventually.


In species where there is pair dominance, its a little different. Humans are obviously not one of those species. Even so in such species as soon as one of the lead pair dies, someone else comes up to take their place and then they go from not reproducing to reproducing.

Also if you separate the litter and break the dominant pair structure, individually, the dogs will reproduce. In the end, they still want to reproduce.

If you heterosexual and homosexual, evolutionary-wise thats fine, but if your just homosexual, its a dead end in an evolutionary sense.

Biologically passing on your own genes always trumps anything else. Your kids will have a greater chance of resembling you than your sibling's kids. It is in fact, your genes surviving, that is important.
