I think I might be asexual, Ive had girlfriends, but my libido has always been a dead ball:(

Eran nailed it!

I wanted to nail it like Martin Luther!

Yes. It's called Chasity. ;)

are there even asexuals? it's tough to imagine people not masturbating.

According to the Wiki thread 1% of people polled are.

High % in women than men.

Civ, I have a feeling you are going to end up with some girl who is very clingy and won't leave you alone for a minute. ...... and you are going to like it! Every guy I've known who has trouble getting girls ends up with one like that. Hang in there.

MobBoss, you have a curious inability to understand the difference between sex and sexual attraction.

They are not the same thing.

I realize they are not the same thing. I simply belive that choice is indeed involved in both of them. Thats not a 'curious inability' to understand their differences, simply me pointing out a similarity I believe they share. As always, you are also entitled to your own opinion.

Never even been horny? Well that's a tough one :(

If you never mate but your siblings do, your genes are passed on. A gene isn't yours alone.

Unless your identical twins, your genes aren't the exact same. Every species in nature strives to reproduce to pass its own genes on to the next generations. Individuals whose genes are detrimental to this purpose usually lose out in the evolutionary race.

Evolutionarily you reproducing is more important than your siblings reproducing. In a evolutionary sense, heterosexual is the Norm and is what is supposed to be as that is what satisfies nature's purpose the best. Its not always politically correct, but science usually isn't.

Both Asexually and homosexually are both cases where evolution gets an epic fail.

Evolutionary-wise, the purpose of any animal or plant is to pass its genes on to the next generation and ensure the survival of its line. Asexually and homosexually hinders the goals of evolution.

Biological evolution stopped for H. sapiens thousands of years ago. Societal evolution has taken its place.

Besides, homosexuality can be quite adaptive. It is an integral part of bonobo society, for instance.

In many dog species, only one pair out of the pack mates, and the rest are related, so they help raise the pups

No, my reproduction isn't necessarily more important than that of my siblings. It's a matter of the genes that make up you surviving, not your genes surviving. There's a difference.

Biological evolution never stops. You can't just taken its place.

Yeah, but Bonobos, even if they practice homosexuality, are still in the end heterosexual, they aren't unattracted to the opposite sex when mating season comes. Bonobos who aren't attracted to the opposite sex come mating season don't pass their genes on and their line dies out eventually.

In species where there is pair dominance, its a little different. Humans are obviously not one of those species. Even so in such species as soon as one of the lead pair dies, someone else comes up to take their place and then they go from not reproducing to reproducing.

Also if you separate the litter and break the dominant pair structure, individually, the dogs will reproduce. In the end, they still want to reproduce.

If you heterosexual and homosexual, evolutionary-wise thats fine, but if your just homosexual, its a dead end in an evolutionary sense.

Biologically passing on your own genes always trumps anything else. Your kids will have a greater chance of resembling you than your sibling's kids. It is in fact, your genes surviving, that is important.

The genes that make up you are not your genes.

Fixed for ya.

Then what you're saying is that you should have no problem with celibacy, that you have no desire to date women.

Which isn't the case. You're not asexual.
