@Amadeus, just because Krugman wrote it doesn't mean its not true.

The right did get their jammies in a twist over that report and then, lowandbehold, if it doesn't prove out to have some merit. Don't worry, I'm sure there will be a ton of internet libertarians and troofers declaring that Obama somehow masterminded the Tiller and Holocaust museum killings as part of the plot to lock up Republicans in FEMA trailers (AM I RITE GLENN BECK?)

“we and we alone are the right frame of mind to free this nation from this Obama oppression,” sounds particularly like a call-to-arms, albeit a very poorly expressed one. Here's hoping that nobody takes these rally cries too seriously and acts upon them.

Of course there will always be lunatics willing to sacrifice their lives for extreme causes, but a mainstream news organisation which some such people may interpret (without to great a leap of the imagination) as friendly to their beliefs does sound dangerous.

I would contend that it is an order of magnitude more biased than, say, the BBC.

I agree. Someone should ask what "oppression" they are talking about. What "oppression" are they talking about? Is the stimulus package "oppression"? Is freeing innocent Guantanamo prisoners "oppression"? Is banning all forms of torture "oppression"? Hannity, Beck, and Co. are ridiculous.

What Fox News does goes way beyond editorializing into the deliberate generation of propaganda. No other US "news organization" foments hatred either.
