IS

Well, I don't understand the pun, that's for sure.

The devil is what?

The devil is in the detail?

I can't see much difference between the regimes of IS and Saudi Arabia. But no one seems keen to demonize Saudi Arabia.

Please...

Well. It may be a little more insane. Hardly "way more insane", imo.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/saudi-arabia-executes-19-during-half-of-august-in-disturbing-surge-of-beheadings-9686063.html

Four smugglers were executed on 18 August for smuggling a “large quantity of hashish” into the country amid an effort by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the government to tackle the social ill of narcotics and warned that anyone else doing the same would also be punished “according to Sharia”, the Saudi Press Agency said.

The men were all part of the same family and their deaths were condemned by Amnesty as being part of the “disturbing” surge in executions. Reuters reported that their confessions may have been obtained through torture.

Mohammed bin Bakr al-Alawi was beheaded on 5 August for allegedly practicing black magic sorcery, the Saudi Gazette reports, while according to Amnesty, a mentally ill man, Hajras al-Qurey, has been sentenced to death for drug trafficking “after an unfair trial” and will be killed on 25 August.

Al-Qurey’s son had reportedly confessed to drug smuggling and said that his father was unaware that the contraband was in the car.

The elder claims to have been beaten into confessing, despite repeatedly exclaiming that he was innocent and that he suffered a mental disability. He was held criminally liable despite an examination finding symptoms of mental illness including auditory hallucinations.

His son was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 1,000 lashes.

“Any execution is appalling, but executions for crimes such as drug smuggling or sorcery that result in no loss of life are particularly egregious,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East and North Africa Director at HRW.

“There is simply no excuse for Saudi Arabia’s continued use of the death penalty, especially for these types of crimes.

“The current surge in executions in Saudi Arabia is yet another dark stain on the kingdom’s human rights record.”

Other executions included that of a Saudi who had been convicted of killing his wife with a knife while she slept, and another man who allegedly tortured and beat his toddler son to death.

“The recent increase in executions in Saudi Arabia is a deeply disturbing deterioration. The authorities must act immediately to halt this cruel practice,” Said Boumedouha, Deputy Director of Amnesty International’s Middle East and North Africa Programme, said earlier this week.

“The death penalty is always wrong, and it is against international law to use it in cases involving non-lethal crimes and where evidence used to convict the person is based on ‘confessions’ extracted as a result of torture.”

Now, this is all cruel, I don't deny that.

But IS does it all indiscriminately. Just to butcher for the coming Apocalypse.

I don't think they butcher Sunni people indiscriminately. I'm not sure they butcher Sunnis at all. Not unless they do something seriously wrong, like practice sorcery.

Iraqis already lost over 6500 soldiers while trying to get close to Tikrit. But they are not even close to Tikrit. Fights ongoing at towns around Tikrit.

There are 1200 IS fighters in Tikrit (plus some other fighters in nearby towns) and Iraqis started their campaign with 40,000 soldiers. In last skirmish Iraqis lost over 1000 soldiers while defending a town against IS nearby Tikrit.

Iraqis lost Electricity station and IS destroyed their biggest HQs.

Meanwhile IS won another victory over Assad in Homs. They have advanced closer to the city by like 20 km.

Seems like IS becoming far more powerful day by day.

Dunno. According to media Iraqi army was winning the battle and in a week Tikrit would be in hands of Iraqis but operation started at Mar 2 and today Mar 18. So, I think his sources are more accurate.

Iraqi army is useless. They have no training, but more importantly no morale.

Apparently they are just as useless in offense as they were initially in defense a year ago.

I suppose that many Iraqi soldiers are just waiting for an opportunity to either run away or join IS.

Well. It may be a little more insane. Hardly "way more insane", imo.

But the Saudis don't take over territory and only kill people who had the misfortune to be born in, or the poor judgement to go to Saudi Arabia.
And the world is mostly fine with that.

So, it's official now:

Tunisia said it would deploy the army to major cities and arrested nine people on Thursday after 20 foreign tourists were shot dead in an attack on a museum which Islamic State militants called "the first drop of the rain".

Japanese, Italian, Spanish and British visitors, as well as three Tunisians, were among the victims of the attack, which took place in the heavily guarded parliament compound of a country largely spared the violent aftermath of the Arab Spring.

Officials did not confirm the militants' claim of responsibility, but said they had identified two gunmen shot dead by security forces after the shootings, which targeted tourist buses visiting the Bardo museum on Wednesday.

The two gunmen were trained at a jihadist camp in Libya, the Tunisian government said. Interior ministry official Rafik Chelli said the two men had been recruited at mosques in Tunisia and traveled to Libya in September.

Cruise liner MSC Cruises said 12 of its passengers, including Colombians, French and a Belgian, were among the dead, while a Spanish couple was found alive on Thursday after hiding all night in the museum.

The assault -- the most deadly attack involving foreigners in Tunisia since a 2002 suicide bombing in Djerba -- came at a fragile moment for a country just emerging to full democracy after its pioneering popular uprising four years ago.

It is heavily reliant on foreign tourists to its beach resorts and desert treks, and the government was about to tackle politically sensitive reforms aimed at boosting economic growth.

Islamic State, which has declared a caliphate in large parts of Iraq and Syria and is active in Tunisia's chaotic neighbor Libya, praised the two attackers in an audio recording as "knights of the Islamic State" armed with machineguns and bombs.

Tunisians make up the one of the largest contingents of foreign fighters in Syria, Iraq and Libya, and their homeland's young democracy, which has cracked down on militancy at home, was a clear potential target.

"We tell the apostates who sit on the chest of Muslim Tunisia: Wait for the glad tidings of what will harm you, o impure ones, for what you have seen today is the first drop of the rain," the Islamic State audio said in Arabic.

The two dead militants were identified as Tunisians, Hatem al-Khashnawi and Yassin al-Abidi. Two local newspapers reported Abidi had spent time in Iraq and Libya, but officials did not confirm that.

That's Tunisia's tourist industry down the toilet for the foreseeable future.

The people who are going to feel the full effects of this are the poorest people in Tunisia, I think.

of Turkey. You forgot your country, asker. It just happened so that Turkey does not like anybody around her. She does not like Assad. She does not like Netanyahu. She does not like Kurds, Iranians, Armenians, Greeks, Bulgarians -- you name it. Some people, just like you do not even like, oh horror, America! Turkish women don't like Russian women, because of Turkish men. This leaves Turkey with two friends -- Azeris (Turks still look down on them and make fun of their accent) and IS.

Yes, IS. All the recruits come through and from Turkey. All the economic activity is done with Turkey. All the IS enemies are also Turkish enemies. Small border clashes are regrettable, but hey, friends push each other sometimes, right? Second largest NATO army could at least control its borders with Syria and Iraq in BOTH directions. But why? All the Turkish enemies are also IS enemies. Observe -- IS fights all their neighbors. Except for the secular democracy Turkey, never mind her being the closest representative of hated West. And of course US can do nothing to persuade Turkey if not join the anti-IS coalition (right now they have only few trainers on the ground in Iraq), but to cut the oxygen line running through the only non-hostile neighbor of IS.

hey , almost a page of discussion somehow related to a post of mine .

for starters ı happen to be one dude who like opposed the glorious accounts of immediate victory of Islam and stuff . Happen to be a dude who actually caused the arrival to CFC of the likes of actual CIA types fishing for the amount of knowledge that this country would have been quite responsible in its entirity for the chemical attacks that almost drew the US for the "kill" and which Barack Hussein "surprisingly" gave up . You know , it would have been awesome for the International Criminal Court and the like , with we being responsible not only for the beginning of the uprisings but conspiracies to draw in the peaceful America to a yet another war in the Middle East . You are kinda wrong and kinda wet behind the ears when it comes to displeasure about the ISIL . This country will be declared responsible every thing that has ever happened ; we are the demonseed and stuff . We are Turks , the enemy of all .

and the thing . "Some people, just like you do not even like, oh horror, America!" Uhm , what does America have so that it can be liked ? They arranged the Counter-Revolution that's destroying the country , they arranged the rise of ISIL , they did this and they did that . It's barely passable that it was the American Colonial Governor's office in Ankara aka the US Embassy that this new committee to oversee the dissolution of the country will not have 16 members . 16 being a so regular number these days ; let's nip it all in the bud that ı will not recognize any ...

the ISIL was is so successful because everybody agreed on their victories

it's actually was . The ISIL is just a tool and not a self standing entity . The Shia militias are par with the best ISIL can offer and they are once again standing away from Tikrit so that politics can be agreed upon . So , Iran stops Iraqis from advancing so that what the US will offer in return . ISIL benefits everybody with its existance .

Very sad news. ISIS has executed 3 peshmerga with a video. It must be because of Newroz. I think it's going to be like a day of mourning in Kurdistan instead of celebrations.

it's actually was . The ISIL is just a tool and not a self standing entity .

How can you say this, man? While living literally just next doors. This is completely unprecedented international jihadi STATE. Not a force, not a movement, but a real state which is at war with the rest of the world. Taliban and Hamas had local ambitions, these guys will never stop getting new recruits, unless someone rewrites first hundred years of Muslim history. They literally see themselves as those "good" early Muslims.

You think they will spare "almost never practicing Muslim"? You better send a letter to your president to fight IS. This guys won't stop until someone stops them. Someone like Charles Martel or Jan III Sobieski.

50% of your argument I can understand, but 50% I do not. DO you do this on purpose? Do you speak in code so some secret Turkish service reads you and gets some valuable intel  ?

America can boss around anyone but Turkey, it seems to me. Turkey officially lists the Islamic State as a terrorist group, but President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been reluctant to use that label.

Back in September Turkish state sources said that relations with the West are strained and Turkey may not allow coalition planes to use Turkish airspace for attacks against the Islamic State militants in Iraq.

At the end of June, shortly after the militants captured the consulate, he warned Turkish media and the political opposition not to pressure him into making “provocative statements regarding this group.” Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu more recently referred to Islamic State as “a radical organization with a terrorist-like structure.”

As a result, Ankara is being accused of turning a blind eye to the Islamic States recruitment efforts in Turkey.

U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations committee, voiced his concern.

"These foreign fighters are crossing often from Turkey, which either because of fear or maybe ideology has declined to participate to stop that flow of fighters and to counter ISIL," said Menendez.

Analyst Mert of Istanbul University says the conservative Islamist background of the country's ruling party means Turkey needs to be far clearer in words and actions in its condemnation of the Islamic State fighters.

"They have been reluctant to be seen as critical of any movement, no matter how brutal or whatever, to be critical of anything made in the name of Islam. So it leaves room for skepticism. Let alone all these accusations especially on the behalf of Kurds, that Turkey is helping some radical groups, against Kurdish advances in Syria," he said.

SANA, Yemen — In the deadliest attack on civilians in Yemen in recent memory, 142 people were killed on Friday when suicide bombers attacked two Zaydi Shiite mosques in the capital, Sana, during weekly prayers. A group claiming to be the Yemeni division of the Islamic State militant group said it was responsible for the attack, raising fears of a growing shift toward sectarian violence in the country’s civil conflict.

Hospitals in the capital made urgent appeals for blood to treat the hundreds of people injured in the explosions at the Badr and Hashoush mosques, which were apparently coordinated. Another suicide bomber was detected before he could reach a mosque in the northern province of Saada, a stronghold of the Houthi rebel movement, which controls Sana and since September has been Yemen’s most dominant force.

Here is a look on who the Zaydis are:

— Zaydis are a small branch of Shiite Islam, and the community is almost entirely located in Yemen. It is distinct from the "Twelvers," Shiite Islam's largest branch, predominant in Lebanon, Iraq and Iran. Zaydis are estimated to make up at least 30 percent of Yemen's population of nearly 30 million people, and around 8 percent of the 70 million Shiites around the world.

— Zaydi is considered to be the closest Shiite branch in doctrine to Sunni Islam. It is named after Zayd, the great-grandson of Imam Ali, whose descendants Shiites believe were the true leaders of Islam, or "imams," after the Prophet Muhammad.

Twelver Shiites, for example, trace a line of 12 imams, including Ali and his descendants. They believe the 12th imam vanished and one day will return as the messiah-like figure the Mahdi. Zaydis reject this doctrine and believe that anyone descending from the house of Ali is eligible for the Imamate.

— The closeness of Zaydism to Sunni Islam is one reason sectarian differences in modern Yemen have rarely been strong. Zaydis are deeply integrated into the country's power structure, military and government. Former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, for example, was a Zaydi, but during his rule he often struck alliances with Sunni conservatives and he fought the Houthi rebels.

— The Zaydis founded a dynasty known as the imamate in northern Yemen that ruled for some 1,000 years. A 1962 revolution in Yemen toppled the last imam, Mohammed Ahmed, and established a republic. The imamate has been vacant since. The Houthi rebels say they have no intention of restoring the imamate, but are rather working for a democratic and inclusive Yemen.

— The Houthis are named after the Houthi family from the northern Yemeni region of Saada which claims descent from the Prophet Muhammad. But not all Zaydis support them. The highest Zaydi religious authorities have so far kept silent on the latest events. The Houthis lost a young and innovative religious scholar when their leader Hussein al-Houthi was killed in 2004. They are now led by 33-year-old Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.

causes such mirth whenever US suggests Kurds are the only possible counter against Islamic extremism , the only choice . Oh yeah , ı can see them , the Kurds , bravely facing the odds , fighting door to door , clearing room after room to defeat evil . On the Capitol Hill . By mopping up US lawmakers . Tell this to John McCain , you will have him laugh .

the Whitey Home is mine.

lord Vader , Somebody and Someone , a bunch of three clowns whom ı know online . It still doesn't make me D'Artagnan even if ı have acquired the same exact fear of Lady Vader . Calling me asker (trooper or soldier) can not be the insult it could have been either . At 44 , am long past the age where my physical handicaps would have hurt me deep with the realisation that ı could never be one . Perhaps for this reason any possible boasting on your part with "I made him talk!" will not work either . ı never hided ı was a "guest" member of a weird Turkish language forum where the non-guest members are all retirees and you are just about to become the laughing stock of the world in its certain shadowy regions . With your suggestion that ISIL does not attack Turkey ; even the Secular stuff ... In the said areas , it's fully acknowledged that ISIL exists solely to document Turkish support for Sunni extremism . So that miserable Joe Public , heavily surprised by the evil Turkish duplicity and treachery , wouldn't protest and re-consider voting preferences or whatever . So that John Doe would be inspired to do the right thing and volunteer for combat in the one obviously Right War .

the said areas take my word on that , in case they are not actively plotting . ı wouldn't expect Tonga or Fiji to be overly concerned with bringing about our demise ... The world takes my word that ı count for nothing but after some twists of fate ended up with access to the 3 clowns and the like . Some real people who have made their careers on telling the Uncle Sam to go to hell . The world takes my word on stuff not because ı posted the anectode on CFC with one of them was in that Hong Kong airport and but for the 6 undercover cops around , Bruce Lee would have snapped his neck under 30 seconds . Indeed the one true Bruce Lee . Whose liasion with the CIA certainly included the training of select operatives in Martial Arts . This is child's play to know and 30 seconds is a waste of time to waste a Turk . The clinch that sets me apart is the addition of the Walking Tower , the gent from South Carolina (?) , who also stood in the way to carry out the duty of keeping the despicable Turk out of trouble . The time it would take Mr. Lee to cut him down would be more than enough for the evil smelling Turkish coward to gain an headstart in escape . Running away is nine tenths of manhood , says the Turkish proverb .

and of there is this background to this , when the US wanted to destroy us Turks for good , beginning with Cyprus , which finally erupted in 1974 . The plan involved USAF crews , "assigned through the influence of the Company" , which had run its own air campaigns in places like Laos with a brilliant success in Guatamela ... With practical experience on the "Combat Tree" they were to wipe out the willpower in the THK with missions already planned that would probably result in some 40 Turkish F-104s shot down , flying Greek F-4 missions as if Greeks and the actual Greek crews providing suitable cover , apart from their own actions . People didn't want us to end up in the Warsaw Pact , they just wanted us to sulk out of NATO . So that we could be usefully killed by our Baathist neighbours so that their exhaustion could be further beneficial to Western designs . The US Navy didn't play that game , the Admirals abhorred that Nixon had assigned US personnel to war without consulting the Pentagon . The USAF Command was similarly outraged ; if you ever read books on Vietnam you will see there is quite a trouble with the way the war was run and people on the front wanted far more initiative than they were granted . All the name calling and the "stretch" in discipline ... They didn't feel that they had enacted the new fangled realistic courses in Nellis with an intention on the defeat of a NATO ally . The Admirals and the Generals could still have been over-ruled and ordered to carry on , but as God Protects our country , this was the Summer of Watergate where Nixon was to resign ... No Americans in the air , not much courage in Athens with evaporating confidence in the all conquering Phantom . We even rubbed Nixon even more with the second round of combat in August after the 600 Gurkhas and 12 RAF Phantoms also failed as a deterrent .

the 40 Starfighters of course stem from the thing that it's the number of planes discovered to be capable of operating their radar sets - without telling the pilot , that's . In the limited time that was available . As such , during the second operation USAF grouncrew actually loaded bombs on Turkish F-100s in Incirlik . Bombs to be dropped on Greeks . The stigma of Nixon Administration (goading Ankara to war with the provision that Makarios was a Marxist and he needed a lesson and when the Ecevit / Erbakan coalition was too dumb to grasp that and they were then presented with a fait accompli in the shape of the Samson Coup and meanwhile "NATO Aid" was flowing in and in) was too much for USAF . They felt , even in the dreary 1970s , they were actually capable of defeating the Turkish Air Force , the THK thing , on their own in a straight fight ... No need of beacons for in-the-lips-Sparrow shots .

let's say that the intelligence business is one that requires character deficiences to succeed . The guys who ruled Greece -behind the backs of the Junta the Americans had installed- had to answer . Their good times had to end . For conspiring for the destruction of a NATO ally , disregarding however despicable Turkey might have been . America had just come out Vietnam with a loss tally of 2000 plus aircraft . The losses of single types , say the F-105s or Phantoms at 380 or so and around 360 were at least twice the size of many respectable Air Forces on the Continent could provide to the fight if the balloon went up for WW III . America in mid-1970s had no power to control the vacuum if we were ruined . The guys who ruled Greece were dispersed to the winds . That's not to say they invented Sunni extremism to get us from a different angle . When one reads any reference on the 1880-90s one gets struck immediately by the "urgency" of Jihad in the minds of Colonial Powers . Colonialism requires enslaving people , who then fight back . Who then get defeated by the mighty Colonialists . But if people find allies , so that the Colonialists can not apply their kinda limited might , it becomes a whole new ball game and Colonialists snicker at each other at the Balls as they waltz and scheme to stab each other in the back . France and England had lots of Muslims under their yoke , they were very careful about a possible unity that could be arranged on a platform that espoused Islamic values ; the Europeans were inventing quite a few stuff for Islam . Where they actually controlled sects , cliques , opinion leaders , whole bands of Jihadists . When Gust Avrakotos "arrived" at the scene in Pakistan the only new thing he added to the mix was playing on the Pakistani like for Turks . Which actually harked back to the days when underprivilidged undercasts were allowed and wellcomed to convert to Islam so that the Turkic invaders , horsebandits , barbarians who had arrived to take a swipe at the Subcontinent's riches could enjoy the loot and leave some to their off-spring through a functioning state that taxed ...

which found its perfect opening in the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan . The new thing Avrakotos added ... The Turkic influence on the Subcontinent had long been replaced by the British who could only dare to claim the Imperial title only in 1877ish when it became clear the Russians could and would swamp the Ottomans . Undercasts still appreciate when they are seen as fellow human beings , let me tell you ... Then it was the British ways that permeated the now Pakistani officials . It was a thing of the mind , a precondition of existence , almost a need as much as one needed to eat 2 or 3 times a day to act in Afghanistan . So that its denizens wouldn't come down the Khyber Pass ! Despite later claims , Pakistanis never assumed that they could defeat the Russians but knew they could have them hurt real bad through proxy warfare . It didn't help at all that the archenemy India was real cozy with the Soviets , too . Recent Pakistani experience in world politics was not that good . Replacing Britain with America they had fell afoul of Washington's bumbling in Vietnam twice . In 1965 when McNamara decided a crisis would draw Chinese attention as the Rolling Thunder got into stride . Pakistan attacked India , got "quite" defeated . The Indians saw America had its limits and as such had no qualms about stirring up trouble in the East Pakistan . By 1971 Bengal was in open revolt and Nixon had decided he would tear up Hanoi real good but US Naval Intelligence was now fuming about whether the Chinese had succeeded in cloning the SA-6 or not . Despite all the talk you might encounter on how tough the NVN airdefences were , Route Pack 6 was just a child's play with only SA-2s present . The War of Attrition was a somber moment for US services with Phantoms getting shot down despite ever increasing sophistication in electronic counter-measures . An Israeli pilot by the name of Spector (and he is actually a war hero and ace and claims to have missed while bombing Saddam's nuclear reactor) remembers a close friend of his who got to be the squadron commander of the first Israeli Phantom unit and friend's manners apparently showed he knew he would be dead as soon as he went across the Suez Canal . And he was , too ... Chinese had to be distracted so that they could keep their SA-6s to themselves . In case they were compelled to join and Indian Air Force Canberras needed a counter ... Pakistan once again attacked and the defeat was a lot more severe than just "quite" . A lot worse than the South Vietnam got with the Laos incursion that was meant to start a fight out of SAM cover .

what ? "Off-topic, unrelated, wall of text, we're talking Turkish complicity in ISIL affairs and what's this sh_t?" It's right there , my dear . You see , Pakistanis needed new planes after 1965 , the Chinese in deep trouble with their Cultural Revolution felt they were sliding behind in the tech curve and offered to "support" a modern acqusition , Pakistanis asked Turkish colleagues on what was available , apart from ex-German F-86s and similar floatsam that was risky to try . America would certainly limit F-104 access , but let's see what else there is ? Oh yeah , the export version of the Dassault Mirage F.2 , the lovely monkey edition Mirage F.1 . A private venture by the French company , it was accepted by the French Air Force command only on condition that they were to have a limited number . So that they could be used as training aircraft for the F.2 . And for the "customers" , say the Pakistanis , the Chinese and the Turks now that Pakistan would love to have its aircraft maintained closer to home , in a country where possible UN sanctions would not impound combat capability at a critical time . Pakistanis felt they also could lower the price if some was sold to friendly Arab countries , now that the Saudis were already bankrolling Pakistan so that they could be induced to convert to a more "true" Islam ... Which happens to be beginning of the craze in Turkey for a "National Aviation Industry" which in due course will even attract Kaddafi as the "patron" as long as Turkey is kinda turned over to him . Which will actually lead to the first experience of Political Islam halfway at the helm in the "severely" secular Turkish Republic in 1973 ; so that Arabs can buy from a fellow Muslim country . And Erbakan is still fondly remembered by his promises to build a hundred thousand tanks and a hundred thousand jets ; or the possibly invented notion of digging this canal to Batman so that tankers could load the limited Turkish oil production right at the source ...

still "Off-topic, unrelated, wall of text, we're talking Turkish complicity in ISIL affairs and what's this sh_t?" It's right there , my dear . Because Lord Vader got shipped to Pakistan where he didn't pray but the Pakistanis knew he wouldn't rifle their vallets while they were praying . Somebody , being the polished one , got to West to get the appointments . Someone wasn't in yet ; under observation as he was chasing skirts . Actually he would have been the total embrassement and disgrace . For at a given point it would be the Vice-presidents of US companies that would arrange female "companionship" for the purchase commissions and they would be all buxom blondes , with each breast bigger that your head while in the Dassault HQ in Paris it would be secretaries who kept all the phone numbers of all the brothels ; ı hear something called a Rolodex but have no clue on what that is . And the options would be vast . Including males from 15 to 50 , depending on the taste . Supposedly explains the breathtaking success of the Mirage III sales across the globe , until the US companies picked up the success formula . Someone has documentary evidence that Lord Vader would arrive and take over the talks when there was a possibility of doing something and Lady Vader got a Black Belt in Karate before such things became fashionable . As for Someone , when the observers got satisfied , he simply got notified he was like assigned and he was like going to correct himself and like he would behave or some guy would rearrange his face with a rifle-butt and that would like make Someone available for some service to the country . Someone didn't doubt it would be like so ... Somebody and Someone both concur Lord Vader was the fastest runner , 90% of the time he would win any timed "event" . More on that a bit "later" ...

for the limited numbers of airplane nuts on the CFC , pertaining to the question of what happened to the F.1 deal . It finally evolved to the point of turning the "ownership" to the buyers . And considering Dassault was in only for the "advance" as soon as the Chinese kinda agreed , Paris took it to Greece . Athens , being in a civilized country , was the preferred choice with only 20% stake or something and naturally they afterwards decided to give it up . You know , Greeks are fierce warriors and have no fear of the Turks . And everytime French Airforce tried to be serious about combat and tried to order good , there "was" calm reservation from places ; as Dassault raped the authorities in Paris . You know there was a time when the Frenchies tried to buy the F-15 and Dassault promised them a delta with the mission profile deeply stuck in the 1960s , with the "quick" delivery of the 4000 if not something equally good ; 2000 being a temporary stopgap . The said Frenchies were just about exploding when they missed the boat completely as 2000 was still being sold and Rafale delayed entirely . Talk about 400 to 500 sales that went to the F-16s and the like since the end of the Cold War and stuff . Meanwhile on the other side of the Pond America decided to develop an harmless type of aircraft , considering they were on the verge of developing the Super Fighters that would finally reap the benefits of the BVR , with missiles wasting bandits long before the bandits even saw the American jets . If you are just about to give me that the LWF competition was all about giving the American Warfighter a decent dogfighter , you are kinda wrong . It was all about a new Sabre that would still take a Sparrow on the lips -if came to that . And of course there are at least 3 different F-16s from 3 different American companies . DARPA released the concept after assured that it couldn't get a proper radar set for BVR work , due to the volume limitations in the nose area . The tiniest was from Boeing and God Bless them , they also offered the F.1 ...

so , Lord Vader tried to buy the F-17 but USN would take that as the '18 . Went to F-5G / 20 but that was to become a stellar performer as well and surprisingly almost as good as the early '16 in load carrying . Jimmy Carter's head exploded on this . As such we were to have the F-16/79 , a purposefully limited edition definitely limited in capability . American experts' heads exploded when we finally said yes . They had turned us down in 1975 for the co-production of the F-16 , where all we could possibly build were the rudder pedals the pilot put his feet on ; with extensive groaning a whole new engine was accepted into the programme so that with unavoidable delays in timing we would fail in amassing enough combat power for the second round where Greeks could beat us . Circa mid 1980s , when Greeks could somehow return to NATO to replenish their stocks while we were sure to get involved with anything that might have come up with the Baathist Arabs . That's why Jimmy Carter used his Executive Powers to block our purchase of those 79 Iranian Tomcats after their revolution as they were really selling . USN had achieved a required presence of 12 air and groundcrews at all times and a list of 84+ countries with whom we were not to discuss the "innards" of the plane . That's why Jimmy Carter's head exploded everytime he heard that everytime the Iraqis saw an '14 in the air they ran and they died if they didn't run . Or something . Carter's war is not Afghanistan ; that's a Republican claim to disperse blame after the good guys of the 1980s came and did stuff on 9/11 . Carter's war is the Iran-Iraq war and Carter had it on . So that established powers in the area could get knocked and "proper" Muslims in the Saudi mold could rise ; America likes Arabs with oil much more . And Carter's war went on and on as we watched from the side with ows and wows where and when appropriate . Almost only because the F-14s deterred the full use of the Iraqi advantages in the air . Although even the Iranians are coolin' a bit recently ; they have decreased their kill claims in the Tomcats from some 150 to 68 or so .

the worlds knocks wood every time Kiddo snubs Lord Vader and gives 3 Hoo-o-rays . For young Americans still come as dumb as ever and now that they are hand-picked and stuff the rest who are left to ensure everlasting American superiority in the world are automatically less capable ... And the limited numbers of airplane nuts on the CFC , your head will also explode when the time to count all the accounts comes and people will rush forward to remark that the MiG-29 radar was pirated from the APG-65 'cause Lord Vader gave them Russkies one complete item , wrapped in plastic . Throughout the 1980s this was much bandied about and throughly rejected by Pentagon which went through the ordeal of counting every single freakin' set . That's of course even discounting the thorny issue of how he would have one in the first place . The limited numbers of airplane nuts on the CFC already know the ground refuelling apparatus on the MiG-29 and the like were designed NATO compatible so that captured airfields could be used immediately . Another claim sunk !

happenz because the guys who ruled Greece before they failed to defeat us and thus failed Nixon thus got dispersed to the winds were naming him for all downs and none of the ups . The world knows he possibly can not have done any of the things attributed to him and the lot who cheers whenever Lady Vader smacks him on the head for generally deserving misdemenours ; but still can not prove they didn't either . Thus yours truly , a fool , a failure in life , an anorak and a geek and a nerd is kinda trusted by the world to be the next Commander of the Starfleet , irregardless of the feasibility of the existance of such an entity . Almost every organization worth its name has confirmed ı have never been real and ı really struggled in this museum and had ı been real ı would have immediately solved all my problems with simply slapping a few people . They have also seen that in the glorious New Turkey anything goes and it was nice fun as people tried to realize their jokes with getting me actually arrested with revelations . If this seems strange , it's the Goverment policy of this country that their actions since 2007 or so depends on fabricated evidence . Luckily , US saw it to that ı was left alone 'cause making me a National Entertainment would nail their game even faster . This sentence exists only because there was a thing to really get me to prove "Turks" were all idiots ; am living proof after all . Oh yeah , would nail their game . Now that the Americans need Kurds as fighters and Kurds happen to be rather ungrateful proxies always asking for more and so on and on . Keeps me on my roadmap and the world realizes however unjustified this last decade was ı certainly can not exist on that . In that they easily see the hand of Somebody who tries to be reasonable even when it's beyond reason to be so . ı learned to mock myself and have no issues with the quest at hand , which also requires that ı should get myself a Victoria's Secret model somehow . Well , abducting her to dinner just alongside the rings of Saturn doesn't exactly work but ı have time until 2021 , for that . Will find something .

means ı do not take myself seriously and do not expect anybody to do so either . Means if this is war , it's my war alone . Means ı try my damnedest to respect people . Means people can visibly see when the isolated cases where actual proffessionals arrive to see what the fuss is about ı make it clear that have no interest . For any attempt to "benefit" will merely get me into trouble . Has been this Recruiting 101 level thing about prodding on how so and so had this cutie or that one ı say "Really?" . Means ı try real hard to avoid to say "Do not make me angry!" with the attendant colour changes on the skin and eyes with bulging muscles to tear shirt sleeves and pants ; 'cause ı know there is a risk of being bombarded with the phone numbers of Jennifer Connely or Liv Tyler , you know , to soothe me . As if Uncle Sam has them ... but ı digress . Simply because despite all the garbage am all about , there are actual plans to get as many of us killed with the eventual destruction of my country which didn't do exactly much for me but didn't exactly hurt me either . Means the efforts to get Turkey (and be done with it) is a continious operation and it's real . So unlike me .

happenz because Avrokotos promised the Pakistanis all the goodies if they allowed the Saudis to take issue of converting the Pashtun to "real" Islam that America that likes . Child's play then . Avrokotos could place a bounty of 50 000 USD on Lord Vader if he ever came to Afghanistan . The "offer" was distributed across Afghanistan at least 8 times , and still stands . Since the Saudis were interested only in Pashtuns as Mujahaddeen ; considering the rest spoke "versions" of Farsi and thus likely to be in the shadow of Iran , the archenemy or something for "true" Muslims , America perforce only supported the Pashtun and the wise British were left in the lurch . They chose Tajiks to support , 'cause as you know, them Brits die of jealousy , with their faces green with envy and body parts swollen with allergic reactions to inactivity in case they fail to take sides in any single conflict on the world . Thus they were horrified to hear Coşkun Aral , a Turkish journalist , was trying to get to Ahmet Shah Massoud for an interview . Only because Saudis who controlled the Pashtuns were like so against Aral , a Turkish guy not working in media paid by the Saudis and as such didn't let him in the easy parts of the Afghanistan , forcing him to look for something to justify the travel expenses . Saudi suspicions of anything-Turkish-on-the-basis-of-anyhow justified a British alarm on the possibility of a success might kindle undesirable interest in Turkey for Afghanistan , they arranged the escort for the Turkish journalist . Who at one point decided to pick on a porter and made him show his forearm . Now just check your own arm , the strands of hair point to all directions , right ? This proves you just didn't wash your arm as cleaning before prayers ; this proves you are an infidel , because you don't pray . This proves now you die . Actually happened too , they just killed the porter . You know , Tajiks are among the "enlightened" people of Afghanistan ... And of course , of the thousands of articles and books written on the Soviet debacle in Afghanistan and the almost as depressing post-war events , only one single names Lord Vader and it's 180 degrees off the truth . Didn't stop Pentagon to call on the phone after 9/11 though , now that they had fully committed to the Pashtuns even when they were flaying people on the mountains of Afghanistan and Pashtuns loved US dollar bills the Saudis were spreading around but not the US dudes , America suddenly had no boots on the ground . America came with promises that they were not after the invasion of Afghanistan , that they would limit the operations , that 10 years was the max but they intented to get out after 10 months . Would the Northern Alliance fight in this Righteous Crusade against Terrorism ? Am strictly banned to say anything bad about Condileeza Rice and all the rest are fair game ! Barack spineless jerk Hussein came to Turkey on his first foreign trip as the President of US to order this country to roll over and die , confident that his head would never explode like Jimmy Carter's . People asked him about 2011 and he said "Yeah" and they withdrew from Iraq . You know so that the gods of war , the shiny uniforms could show their mettle to the other Iraqis and establish their state .

happenz , man !

so here we are .

How can you say this, man? While living literally just next doors. This is completely unprecedented international jihadi STATE. Not a force, not a movement, but a real state which is at war with the rest of the world.

suggesting in 2015 that Turkey supports bloody religious fanatics and that's so shameful will only result in a lame "So what!" Have been saying that Turkey supports bloody religious fanatics since 2012 ... It's claimed thousands of people died in a chemical attack that almost got the B-2s flying , to bring Damascus down and am barely noticeable in suggesting what would happen . Afterwards ... when people suddenly notice the evil culprits ... People don't like Turkey ? Why , it's their prerogative , their right . But to charge that ı omit counting my country among the shameful litany of supporters ? It's only in r16 that you read why and how of Operation Anaconda , back from 2001 . When Americans wrote a glorious chapter and discovered the Islamists had NATO documentation and better material than the gloriously Mighty US Army . It's only in r16 you make sense of the claims that a US gunship mistook friendly Afghan troops for the Taliban and the resulting Blue-on-Blue allowed Bin Ladin to escape . Which wasn't the case at all -as the fighting at Tora Bora was deliberately staged to allow the Saudis escape from a different direction unmolested by US Patrols that might accidentally stumble on them . It's only in r16 you don't laugh at the sheer audacity of US claims from 2001 , alas only to be quickly forgotten as they would actually be detrimental to the American reputation . Claims that the thing in pylon turn and the weapons used sounded "different" and hence not an AC-130 ... Had it been less laughable , we would have been stuck with charges that we had aided and abetted Bin Ladin with flying combat in Afghanistan . Circa 2007 or so , but the Sunnis and Shias proved too much for the US , Joe Public and John Doe were tired of war ... Nothing was real , but then there is no need for truth . Ever ... But then ı am allowed to get a kick from saying it . So that it will be possible for the clowns to declare "r16 told you so."

and there would be no one to remember the way Bin Ladin actually risked his neck by giving an interview or a video release about him yapping on how he and his trusted colleagues were surrounded by the Turks and Kafirs and how they simply slipped away . They would have loved to collect that 50 000 . "Come if you're man enough" hurts . At times , but then who am ı to say ?
