Welcome to Istar Province.

As of now, the build queues are:

Fox Nest - Battlefield Medicine, Granary, Tank
Eyr - Tank, Tank, Tank, Tank
Khatovar - Tank, Tank, Infantry, Infantry
Malinalco - Tank, Tank, Infantry, Infantry
Asyut - Factory, Hospital, Bank
Lutetia - Aqueduct (rush on turn 7), Marketplace, Barracks
Chie - Tank, Tank, Tank, Tank

The Aqueduct in Lutetia can be rushed on turn #7, before the next pop growth.

Khatovar needs 2 more mountains mined and 2 more desert tiles irrigated. Need-a-name needs at least one plains tile irrigated. Roads and RR on top of each. Chie could then use some roads and mines in the hills around it.

This is a reminder to all cabinet members and governors to post their build queues and turn chat instructions for tonights turn chat, if they haven't done so already.

Victory again, people of Istar. As I start my Governorship of Istar, we enter another period of peace. The Greeks are no more residents on this continent. They now reside on a small island far from here in an easterly direction. Well, I'm talking about their Government anyway. There is still a good sized greek population living in our new cities.

During the last turn chat, there was a very busy moment when confusion arose and instead of Khatovar and Malinalco switching to Tanks, they completed their Police Stations. This can be seen as good news, though as each city picked up 2 sheilds, covering the maintenance cost for the Police Stations. Also Khatovar increased its gold intake by one gold and Malinalco increased its gold intake by 2 gold. So it paid off and can only get better.

We are now concentrating on military units being built in our cities. As the rest of the Nation tries to grow and develop, we shall try to produce a large chunk of the tanks and Infantry needed to garrison the cities of Phoenatica. We shall soon return to building the cultural improvements that made this Province the great one it is.

We also have a new city in Istar Province. Just NE of the capital city, in the hills overlooking the plains and desert is now Tirion. We will be proud to add its new name to our list of fine cities. Stay alert and thrive people.

Cyc
Governor of Istar

Those are the finest build queues I have seen for centuries (gee I've lived a long time)! Finally, some units to work with! Congratulations, Cyc! However, I will ensure our army is kept secret when I take my next excursion into the Foreign Nations.

Thank you chiefpaco. And I'll take another batch of Chinese fireworks, if it's not too much trouble. I haven't shot any off in centuries.....

Cyc, you should make queues for the newly captured from Greece, (those not in Kashmire), since they have no governor yet, and so that means they're under the Domestic leader's control.

Good point, Falc. I'll get right on it.
Has anyone seen my Deputy Leader this week?

Tanks! Are they rocket powered cultural tanks to propel us to our desired victory?

:D Tanks for da memories. They are your tanks now, Donsig.
BTW, do you want me to unsticky this thread so you can start a new one?

No need to unstick this thread - we can continue to use it (once we get rid of those tanks). :)

Personally, I think 1.) we need the tanks 2.) we can always upgrade them later 3.) there's not much else to build, unless you get some irrigation in Chie's grassland after you put roads and mines in the hills and mountains around it.

It's always a choice between guns and butter. I'll never understand why beer isn't one of the choices. :)

Maybe I'll queue up some biergartens in Istar. They should be worth a few culture points.

Yes, they are. That's why the Phoenatica National Art Museum made theirs a permanent fixture. (Plus it generates A LOT of money for new exhibits.)

Here are the proposed build queues for Istar, circa 1590 AD. Since I was just recently appointed and confirmed to the governorship there is not much time for citizen feedback on these.

Fox Nest - Battlefield Medicine, airport, police station
Eyr - airport, police station
Khatovar - airport, infantry, bomber, tank
Malinalco - airport, infantry, tank
Asyut - factory, hospital, bank
Lutetia - market, barracks, police station
Chie - university, airport, police station
Tirion - granary, library, temple

/me misses the tanks and infantry.
/me wants a big army to protect our democracy (read my sig).

tanks for the tanks ;)

I see less tanks in production, which I can understand, just don't stop being our Military unit factory and keep military units in queue.

Also I like that you're building Airports too. Take one city, rush an Airport, and with enough cities with airports at home you've got your whole army there in one turn. Keep up the military production!

I thought PDX, Pherris and Civanatoria were the heart and soul of Phoenatica's military-industrial complex. Istar is in to R&D, R&B and biergartens.

Well, I see the Area in general as a Military-Industrial complex, with Pherris as the Center point.

Lutetia: artillery / artillery / artillery
Eyr: tank / tank / tank / tank / tank
Chie: aqueduct / tank / infantry / tank / infantry
Asyut: barracks / infantry / infantry / infantry
Malinalco: bomber / bomber / bomber / bomber
Tirion: library / barracks / tank / tank
Khatovar: bomber / bomber / bomber / bomber
Fox Nest: Manhattan Project (switch to Seti when available) / bomber

City tile use changes:

Lutetia: Coast laborer to mined hills, another coast laborer to irrigated desert
Fox Nest: Irrigated grassland to mined mountain
Khatovar: Irrigated desert to mined mountain

Worker requests:

Eyr: road, mine and railroad mountains
Chie: Irrigate grasslands, road mine and railroad hills and mountains

EDIT: Changed Malinalco over to bombers since it has an airport. Changed Chie to aqueduct which will be complete next turn. Set Chie to tank and infantry production after that.
