To the League of Sea Peoples
The war in the Middle East has been a long and costly one. It did not begin with Egypt. Sumer and the League fought for many years. Egypt entered to fullfill a treaty obilgation to Sparta when the League declared war on Sparta. Our success was extraordinary because of the League's failure to plan well; Tyre was destroyed. We captured the Levant and offered peace. We were rebuked. We held our ground, did not attempt to gain new land and were attacked by the League who failed to dislodge us. Sumer continued to make territory gains. Tarssus was destroyed. Troy was next.
Egypt seeing the real enemy of all in our end of the Mediterranean Sea as Sumer offered the League an opportunity to survive and at the same time reduce Sumer to a size and power more suitable to our ambitions. League, you choose your ally, who now holds all your former empire. Egypt holds none. You choose poorly. Sumer is more powerful now than ever and you are diminished. Egypt, who honored her treaty with Sparta and who twice offered you the chance for peace, you have betrayed. Egypt was a nation that could have offset the rising power of the east, but you have handed all the middle east into the hands of Sumer. If Egypt is dimished further it will be Sumer's gain and not yours.
You wish to end the war and rebuild what has been shattered, but will not accept peace. You demand gold from Egypt and yet give up your former empire to Sumer without a wimper. Peace is yours, but nothing more will be freely given. In the end Sumer will consume his lapdog. I Pray to the gods that Egypt is around to see it.

You have burned my cities and massacred my people. You have destroyed the greatest cities in the world for your own pathetic material gain. You who speak of Sumer being the greatest threat to the Mediterranean were the ones who weakened the League sufficiently that we could not fight effectively against Sumer. You have been caught in your own web of lies and deceit. Enough, I say, enough! It shall be war or peace. Choose your path.
We have clearly spoken. Peace you can have; we have already offered it. If you demand more than peace, you will have to take it. But I promise you it will cost us all more than 2 eco points. Accept peace and rebuild for battles yet to come, or squander your money on more war and give Egypt to Sumer in the bargain. Sumer is the only one who benefits from war. OOC: hmm, JD, witht he Trade Pact and Defensive Allaince, the Scythian Confederation is more like a Vassle State then a puppet state (we have a mohands off aproach with them to). we provide them with the protection of our vast army, they provide a slight buffer zone with Vs. the barbarians. how would I go about formalizing this? just put it in my orders?
