Gone to bed? No. I just update offline.

Speaking of updating, I'm 90% done...

Your section, IMHO, is quite well-done. :smug:

Thats cool, I was just trying to goad Iggy into doing his update :p

And my section is extremely well-done, thanks. Sooner or later I figured that would happen, especially if I let them get as big as I did. I created Janissaries and I got Janissaries in every sense hehe.

Slipping across the Irish Sea in fishing boats, diplomats from the Kingdom of Ireland land on the Welsh shore and make their way to the courts of the two mighty kingdoms...

To the Kingdoms of Wessex and Britannia
From the Kingdom of Ireland

Sovereign lords of Wessex and Britannia, the Kingdom of Ireland approaches you with a deal. First and foremost, however, we ask that you nevermind the wild stories of the Manx rebels. Traitors have no qualms with lies and it is inevitable that those discontents who are the enemies of peace would embellish stories of conquest.

But, more to the point - our offer. Aid us in putting down our rebels and brigands, and we shall aid you in crushing yours. The rebels holding the Isle of Manx must be destroyed, but through underhanded tactics and treachery, they have burned the Irish Navy in port. The High King of Ireland proposes that a combined fleet of Wessex and Britannia, staffed with Galloglach to serve as marine detachments in the naval battles to come, will be enough to defeat the enemy. In addition, the Galloglach will perform the actual invasion of Man, so that you need not commit any land forces to this invasion.

Do this and we will preempt the inevitable pirate power the Manx will become, as their large navy and small land base predicts. Do this and we will help crush the Scots raiders. Do this, and we shall make an example of those who rebel against the rule of a King.

Very well. War, fire, and brimstone we shall bring down upon you. Blood and tears we shall impose upon your people. Your kingdom shall be destroyed, and your people shall suffer for your folly.

OOC: A small problem with my stats about rural economy. I increased it in orders, and it was increased again with the conquest of the barbarians. Then it decreased one due to urbanization so my rural economy now should be 3. Please and thank you

OOC: If you're serious about this, you should know that your population will revolt, and revolt seriously. It will be nearly impossible to keep together.

Don't worry, of course we're being sarcastic. Sure, send your leader to us, so we can kill him.

To: The League of Sea Peoples
From: Medes

Might we ask, are you at war with both the Hittites and the Egyptians?

To: Medes
From: League of the Sea Peoples

We are at war with Egypt, yes, but we are not with Hittites.

To: Hittites
From: League of the Sea Peoples

We will continue to pay your tribute.

OOC: Iggy, see PM.

The increase in orders was the increase in the update. There weren't two seperate increases.

From: League of the True Irish
To: Wessex, Britannia

Do not listen to their lies!

The High Kings of Eire long knew the Galloglach would become problematic. They were simply too powerful, too willing to sacrifice, too ready for war. This was an uncontrollable force and it had always been more a matter of directing the force than anything else.

Every King had a reason to postpone solving the Galloglach issue. From Old Eire's need to defend against barbarians, to the Age of Conquest and the necessity of the Galloglach in bringing the tribes under one banner, to the agitation of the nobles and the need for unity. The question would not be answered as, in truth, the "God Kings" of Ireland, as the Galloglach had come to regard them as, had become weaker than the monsters they had created. Rather than being an extension of the King's power, they were directly opposed to it, though they did not know it. The Kingdom needed their services for a time, but the Kingdom was now a fortress unto itself, no longer directly surrounded by barbarians on all sides, no longer truly in need of such a dangerous force. The Kingdom had outgrown those who had built a large part of it. The Age of the Galloglach was coming to an end, but how it would end was anybody's guess.

When High King Domnall II the Axefist completed the 84 year campaign against the barbarian tribes of Ireland, he knew he would need to keep momentum up or risk losing all he and his predecessors had fought so hard to obtain. The only question was how.

In addition to aiding with your own barbarian difficulties, we will give the Lords of England all loot found after removing the barbarians.

OOC: sorry for the delay.

To both Eire and this "League of the True Irish"
From Ryus, Old King of Brittania

We have heard both of the calls from your peoples. Since Brittania has no formal ties with either of your nations, we feel that this is a free toss. In an ideal situation, we would side with neither of you. But it is not an ideal situation. We must take a side- the only question is who we should help.

Should we help Eire- who has no place to expand but a bloody west. Or should we assist the irish, whose brothers continue to attack our people for sport? The only true question is: who should we help to help ourselves?

After much debate we have decided to throw our lot in with the Eirians. The Irish diplomat is hereby banished from our court.

To Eire
From Brittania

We have decided to assist your cause. We will lend our navy to the operation- but for combat purposes only. We will, however, put pressure on Wessex to transport your troops.

To Wessex
From Brittania

Two of the three Isles kingdoms have already joined in war against a common threat. These Irish are not a kingdom, but rather they are cuthroat bandits. They and their relatives plague trade routes, raid settlements, and serve as a threat against all of our people. Join with us and rid the Isles of theives forever.

The High King of Ireland humbly thanks your noble sovereign and inform you that our Galloglach warriors offer to serve on your ships as marine detachments to minimize your own losses. If this is unacceptable, we understand. This is merely an offer.

Our troops will aid you with your raiders as soon as this situation is resolved.

In addition, due to your concerns in regards to our expansion, we offer a Treay of Nonagression, the length of which to be determined by your people, as you see fit.

OOC: No worries. If you want to know how I'm executing the war against the other guys, let me know and I'll share my basic battle plan. :p

Our previous statement stays the same through we will accept the NAP to last for two-hundred years.

We highly doubt that. Have a fun last day.

You have our gratitude. We eagerly await your ships and offer our Galloglach to serve as marines in case of naval engagement, although Britannia will likely have that covered.

*secret* (I would PM, but I figure since they're NPCs you can just pretend the bad guys can't see this, JD, and I can save us all the hassle of PMs)

Our troops will be ready after some internal issues are dealt with. Considering the strength of the rebel navy, it is prudent that we assemble all the ships at once and not allow the rebels to pick them off in small groups.

The awakening

It has been strange years at the Nile. Invasion after invasion into Egypt took place. Ever since the traitors escaped to Cyprus. A few years after it came an invasion like no other. The Hyksos invaded Egypt in huge numbers throwing the Egyptian forces far back into Upper Egypt. Yet, that did not remained powerful and never had the chance to do anything big, they were soon soundly defeated, crashed and thrown out of Egypt. Yet it did not ended there...

Soon enough raids from Cyprus continued to disturb Egyptian sailors so the Egyptian navy received a command to destroy their navy. And so the navy did. The Navy of Cyprus was soon nothing but wooden pieces across the Pharaian sea (ooc: Mediterranean is still not called like that..). Than the Egyptian navy left. But nothing ended there, The foolish "Pharaoh" of Cyprus declared his island united with a new kingdom that have been formed. A league of sea people. With their new resources this league raided Egyptian coasts and destroyed much of the new city Pharai. The awakening call have finally came...

No longer will Egypt be disturbed by outsiders. An army must be built and this so called "League” must be destroyed. They may control the seas but Egypt still had one of the largest armies in the area, and this army would soon be used to destroy that league that wish to harm the peaceful Egyptian people who only suffered invasion in the last century. No longer will Egypt diplomatic ties will remain peaceful with those who wish to harm it. An Egyptian empire must be formed in order to guard itself from the outside invasions.

to Egyptians of Cyprus:
You are no longer rules by a fake Pharoh, he gave up his rule! Why do you keep believing him when he just made his "Egypt" gone? Rebelle and be rescued by the True Egyptian Army!

I realize its ridiculously early, but I already have everything I needed. Thus...

Orders away. Lets see if I get that top spot again :p And lemme know what you think, JD ;)

Story to come...

What I think? But that would ruin the suspense.... ;)

@Erez: the Cypriots don't really consider themselves Egyptian. It's just one of those quirks of the ruling family.
