JalNES I: Quick and Easy

Probably not. :p You've seen what I do to my NPCs...

By probably not, he means they will actually by analogous to OTL Roman Empire. His NPCs are vicious.

Also, I expect nothing less of the mod, which goes as a reply to two posts at once :D

@TerrisH - I wish *I* could complain about 19 EP to spend... how hard it must be... :p

To: Egypt, Sumer
From: The League of the Sea Peoples

This war benefits none of us. Ought we to discuss peace terms?

OOC: I'm glad that I put a cap on research per turn--otherwise, Atyria would have developed nukes by now.

Speaking of which, it would be good if more people did research--it's a great way to customize your nation.

I believe Egypt has realised it's defeat in this war. It will depend on them how this war will be settled.

We will end the war.

How descriptive.
You asked for peace and we obliged. Do not expect champagne and flowers.

That is not discussion. A treaty does not come through one side declaring it over, especially not the losing side. Terms must be affirmed, and the treaty signed and sealed by the respective lords. Do not mock the League; do not mock Sumer.

Are you willing to discuss terms?

You asked for peace and and got it. Do you want more than peace? If so you had better make it clear.

We asked for a peace negotiation. We assumed you would understand that; perhaps we were wrong.

Our demands are:

I. Peace at current borders
II. NAPs to be signed between the Sea Peoples and Egypt, and Sumeria and Egypt, to last a duration of 5 turns.
III. Reparations of a total of four economy points to be paid to the allies: 2 to Sumer for the attempted betrayal of them by the Egyptian armies; 2 to the League of the Sea Peoples for the breaking of the betrothal of the Prince of Egypt to the Princess of Tyre, and for the burning of the city of Tyre.

This has been approved by both the Sumerian and League rulers.

You asked for peace and now claim it was for negotiations and the negotiations appear to be nothing but demands.

If the goal is peace then peace is the answer; you appear to want more than peace.
Here are our suggested terms:

I. Peace at current borders, but all the Sinai goes to Egypt
IV. Reparations paid to Egypt of a total of 4 economy points: 2 from Sumer for its betrayal in our joint war against the Sea Peoples; 2 from the Sea Peoples for its betrayal of Egypt in our good faith attempt to preserve the Sea Peoples from certain destruction.

I am Pharaoh and I have approved this message.

lurker's comment: That's just silliness and you know it, Birdjaguar. No one's going to accept that...

He wants the economic stuff dropped. *shrug* NK HAS been pretty desperatly running all over the place trying to secure these Diplomatic deals, from a position of strength. or thats my summation from what I've observed.

Regardless I've only been approached with attempts to betray, we entered this war due to the questionable honour of the League, if need be I will be destroyed by it.

It does seem silly to pay Sumer

Peace is easy, that they have been granted, but they do not want peace, they want more than peace and feel some claim to make other demands, but disguise them as negotiations. Peace we will grant, more than that we will discuss.

Unacceptable and unamusing. 1. The Sumerians were betrayed first. Need I dig up the necessary information? 2. The League of the Sea Peoples were attacked in the first place by Egypt, in a breach of all honorable diplomatic code.

You are not one who should be able to discuss honor with a straight face.
