Adds a B-52 Stratofortress to the game to serve as a Jet Bomber. Works as a standalone mod and includes modifications to the stealth bomber. The Unit is a conversion of Snafusmith's civ4 model.

hrr you did it :)

maybe you should explain something bout the unit in the description, that it is an Upgrade from WWII Bombers.
and that it is supposed to serve as "standard" Bomber for the modern age while the Stealth-Bomber is changed to be a really expensive Bomber for special missions against strong anti-air defense.

though most of the people are probably more interested in the graphics anyways.

was a pleasure working with you and i cant wait for your next units

Awesome! I was wooing on this one next, this will help me finish sooner. I have fixed some small issues with the model and made a couple new skins, I will hopefully be able to post it soon when I get a moment.

yeah its working too ekmek, many thanx
can i ask sumtin, is it snafu unit work in GK too?
it seem you both working together

Now if only the game would 'update' graphics through the era's. Nice model. :)

Can't you do the same process as the worker's graphic update throughout the eras?

Right, the built-in Era Variation is hardcoded when it occurs, but an equivalent could be done fairly easily in lua. However, we already have the WWI bomber/fighter/tank distinctions. It seems inconsistent, unless you wanted an automatic upgrade there too.

Ekmek, how did you work out your Art Defines XML for your this mod? The format seems to have changed completely since I was last modding Civ 5 (I suppose that was early 2011!). I've seen this thread. Is this stuff documented anywhere? I managed to get the helicopter working in game by roughly following your this mod but it was pretty annoying having to copy chunks out of the vanilla XML and then make sure tags were named correctly - HasRefaceAfterCombat instead of bHasRefaceAfterCombat etc.

The old Civ5ArtDefines_UnitMembers.xml and Civ5ArtDefines_Units.xml have a formatting that does not match the DB entries that where added in patch .674

You'll find the right templates for all units in whoward's thread

Thanks for the info. I guess it makes things more modular but it would have quicker if they'd kept the format the same.

Does this mean all previous mods involving custom graphics are now broken?

yes, all those mods that were not updated after patch .674 are broken.
