JNESIV: Some Things Should Never Die

Nope!

OOk, sounds good everyone.

Remember, if you miss a turn you just get the banked money to spend. You dont get to invade or anything, but since none of you did, it's all good :).

I have decided that I will do all NPC fights anytime, and save all pvp fights till the end of the turn that way im not boggled with many fights. Sounds fair enough???

Soo...Its not turn 6 yet for another hour and and a half.

I'm also asking, to make my life easier, is to have each country you conquered, the turn you conquered them in, and the garrison requirments in your thread.

***CHINA INVADES CAMBODIA***
Overwhelming Chinese numbers invaded the awaiting Cambodians, who did not take well to the Chinese imperialism. Two mechanized infantries awaited the Chinese, ripping through the 1st Chinese Red Army near Kompong Chhnang before being overrun by the 2nd. Meanwhile, the 1st Chinese Gunship squadron made garbage of the only railed system of the country, paralyzing the troop transportation. The 2nd Cambodian Mech. Infantry were able to take out yet another Red army before being teamed up by the 2nd Red Army and the Gunships Squadron and destroyed in the capital, Phnom Penh. The Militia and remaining government gave up the next morning.

Losses: 2 Red Army Divisions
Required Garrison: 1 for 4 turns

***The Bombardment of Syria***
Iraqi artillery opened up on the first day with a huge barrage on the capital installations of Syria. Damascus was almost completely leveled, the ancient city finally falling. Aleppo was also heavely fortified by mechanized infantry, and nearly destroyed. However, early the next week, from a secret and strategic position, the Syrians awoke with two artillery brigades that made the Iraqi artillery look like toys.

Losses: 1 Syrian Mech. Infantry, 1 Iraqi Artillery Brigade

***UKRAINE INVADES ROMANIA***
Matching forces met around the Carpathian Mountains, outside of Bacau. The entire 3 mechanized infantries of the Romanian military met the Ukranian army here, where the largest battle since world war two was fought in Europe. The two sides absolutly devasted eachother, but the Ukranians, through outright luck, managed to get to Bucharest and set up government (emu, you got lucky here).

Losses: 2 mechanized infantries, 1 armour division at half strength.
Required Garrison: 3 for 3 turns

***AUSTRALIA INVADES SOLOMON ISLANDS***
Australian air forces, the best and most numerous in the world, begin operation throughout all of the islands very early in the morning. By 9:00am, the airforce began to pound the capital of Honiara, and at noon the armored division landed and took control. What happened to the defense? The Solomon Gunship Squadron, the only defense, was destroyed by a couple air-to-air missiles from the close ground support jets.

Losses: None
Required Garrison: 1 for 2 turns

***POLAND INVADES SLOVAKIA***
Two mechanized infantry divisions met with the invasion force nearby Bratislava, the capital. However, I wouldn't call it meet, I would call it obliterated. The Hind, the heart of the Polish military, gave no remorse to the sitting ducks, and the two jet squadrons pounded out the mechanized infantry while the amored division rolled in and cleared it up. However, in action one of the close air support squadrons met with fierce groud fire that brought down nearly the whole squadron. The country fell not long after.

Losses: 1 close air support squadron
Requried Garrison: 2 for 3 turns

Brazil

Turn 5

start with 11 gold
6 for 2 infantry
5 for 1 close air support squadron
bank 0 gold

4th Infantry to Venezuela - Garrison
5th Infantry to Venezuela - Garrison
1st Mech Infantry - Garrison in Venezuela
1st Armor - Invade Guyana
1st Close Air Support - Invasion of Guyana
1st Artilary - Bombard Guyana
1st Infantry - Invade Guyana
2nd Infantry - Invade Guyana

The 1st Mech is staying in Venezuela to Garrison, along with the 2 new Infantries coming from Brazil.
Guyana is being attacked by:
1st armor from Venezuela
1st Artilary bombing from Brazil
1st Infantry and 2nd Infantry Invading from Suriname, now that the garrison is no longer required.

battle plan is:
the Artilary, fires on the Guyanian artilary to prevent them from actively participating in the battles.
the Close air support's main mission is to take out major defences encountered by the ground forces.
the Infantries and the Armor try to meet as soon as possible, then go for the capitol.

That was close, Roddy :)

Turn 6 after this battle.

***BRAZIL INVADES GUYANA***
Fortified by one mechanized infantry, the Guyanians were ready for the Brazilians when they came. The milita, being sent to the southern reaches of Guyana, were quickly quelled as the Brazilian force moved north. Teaming with the Suriname Infantries, the full force of Brazil met at Linden, then moving north to Georgetown they met the mechanized infantry, backed by the artillery. Calling in much air support, the Guyana artillery was obliterated by the air support while the infantry and armor took care of the mech infantry, the armor taking only slight damage.

Losses: 1 armor at half strength
Required Garrison: 1 for 3 turns

December, 2003- Turn 6 (Happy Holidays Syria)
15c to spend
-- build 1 Armoured Division in Jordan
-- build 1 Gunship Squadron in Jordan
-- build 1 infantry in Jordan
-- invade Syria with 1 Armoured Division, 1 Gunship Squadron, and 3 infantry
-- have 1 artillery division bombard the 3 cities described in Team B strategy, make sure they only bomb thier 2 days once tadmur is captured

Iraq!

Tactics

Have 1 infantry and 1 armoured division be Team A (black line)

Have 2 infantry be Team B (blue line)

Gunship Squadron backs both teams up (1/2 for each team)

Team A moves out of Jordan and moves rapidly, capturing the two cities (Al Suwayda, Qunatiran) until meting Damascus. Im guessing theres little to no army left there, but have the 1/2 of gunship squadron clear the place just incase. After Damascus is captured, advance past Hims and Hamah, and start attacking along the coast, but not on the coast, more inalnd to prevent eaasy ship strikes. Once coast is secure, wait for Team B and move on Aleppo simultaneously.

Team B moves in, and helps Team A until Damascus is captured. Once Damascus falls, Team B will advance on Tadmur. Then, when that is captured, WAIT ABOUT 2 DAYS FOR ARTILLERY SHELLES TO RAIN ON Dayr az Zaw, Ar Raqqah, and Al Hasekeh.
When bombardment ends, have team B move in on those 3 cities.
Also, as Dayr az Zaw is captured, secure the Euphrates just incase. Then, when it is clear Team A is ready to move on Aleppo, Team B is to start marching. They should aim for simultaneous attacks.

Once Major fighting ends, fortify this force within the country.

***IRAQ INVADES SYRIA***
Troops were split into two groups, team A having the stronger amor division, team B having the the backup of the artillery. Both teams break after attack Damascus, and as team A heads north near the coast, they are brutally attacked by the Syrian amor divisions there, leaving one infantry division destroyed. The armor, with help from the gunships, were able to destroy the two brigades. Team B had great success, with aid from the artillery in Jordan, they were able to route one mech infantry and head towards Aleppo. There they met the armor, and the next day Syria surrendered.

Losses: 1 infantry division
Required Garrison: 2 for 3 turns

1 Close Air Support Squadron

Invasion Plans: The Gunship and Close Air Support Squadrons buzz the Airstrip and destroy anything that looks like it can fly then the set up a zone of control where they destroy anything that gets with in a mile of the border of the National Park. Then the Transports land the Armour Division outside the national park to prevent people from using it as a launch point for gorilla warfare. Once in position all force will converge on the one city. The Air units will scout out the city looking for artillery pieces and or strong points. Once found their position and composition will be radioed back. All artillery will be taken out by Air strikes before the Armour gets there once the armour gets there they will attack in a cordinated pattern using air power and armour from all sides and level the strong point. The Attack group will procede to sweep the city in this manner and then mount patrols to wipe out all resistance. Since their is only 500 people on the Island this should be no problem.
