Kazakstan pitboss game

Yes, I can get in, but we need to redo a good number of moves. Was it necessary to roll back that many turns?

I can't get in... connection times out

I barely got into the game a bit earlier and my connection to the pitboss timed out. :( Now Indiansmoke is shown as offline on Hamachi. Guess the server is down?

and can I remind certain people (Sommers!!) that when playing from a reload you're supposed to replay your moves as you made them!! it's not meant to be an opportunity to readjust your moves!

If the game is reloaded, you are supposed to replay the turn as you did it originally. Not adjust your moves based upon info you got from the original move.

Sorry:blush: I'm pretty sure I know which move you're talking about... I did not remember exaclty where I moved, I was not paying close atttention, b/c that move was fairly arbitrary and seemed pretty meaningless... Did my different move make some in-game difference for you?

Tell you what... why don't we just reload the turn, and you can tell me where I am supposed to move whatever unit you feel is a total suspicious unfair re-adjustment of moves. Its just a game... I would rather just re-do the move then have you be sore about it.:)

Can we do another re-load Smoke?

No, don't worry about the reload. That move isn't really important anyway. I was just pointing out that we should try to recreate the moves we made in case people weren't aware.

Let's keep going :)

I've tried a few times to get into the game but I keep losing the connection while the game data transfers. :(

EDIT: I finally got to play my turn.

It does seem down again

Looks like we may need to reload 750BC again :(

oh well, third time lucky

It was donsig!!!

I knew that guy looked fishy...

(I still can't get in)

Can we pause the timer or add time on so we don't need to redo the turn and the 3 people remaining (CH, donsig and I) can still do their turns?

I was able to get in and finsih my turn. I tried to go back in to see if I could pause the game (though I do not know how to do that) and couldn't get in. I do not know how to open a port. I use Comodo firewall. I have Clearwire which uses a wireless modem for Internet connectivity. Network cable from that modem to my router, which have 3 computers on it. If someone can tell me how to open the port I will do it.

I am not sure if that is the problem though. There are times when I can get into the game - doesn't that indicate the port in question is open? I'm in another pitboss game where the game loads up nice and fast like it should. Whenever I try to get into Kazpit transferring the game data is a VERY slow process. It looks to me like my computer sits here and waits for data from the pitboss and sometimes it times out and throws me back to the previous screen. Some times I get all the way into the game only to have a message pop up saying I've lost connection to the pit boss. If I ping Indiansmoke on Hamachi many times the request will time out. If anyone has suggestions for what I should do I'd like to hear them.

Also, how does one pause the game?

The problem is that if you try to log in game while I am online (in civ lobby or another pitboss) in the other computer (same lan) it sometimes crashes. that is caused propably because your router is blocking the ports. Direct ip port is so that you connect to other player..if I am not online it is not a problem.

It also crashes if someone is online in the other game I am hosting.

The ports can be oppened from the router interface in internet explorer. you will have to call your isp and ask them how to open the ports if you do not knwo how to do it..they will guide you through it, it is very easy.

the game can be paused by pressing the pause button on your keyboard when you are in game

PS. Sommer seems to have the same issue. provolution is Ok, I am not sure about everyone else.
