KoS6 - Miss World Pageant: "And World Peace"

I was building up our garrisons near Catherine because she's scary.

Warriors don't count enough for military power to deter any immortal AI from declaring on you. The key is good diplo management. If the AI is pleased with you and has a worst enemy, it's pretty unlikely that you will get declared on (even more so if that worst enemy is a land target of said AI). Also, warriors start to cost lots of unit maintenance so it's not a good idea.

Also, it's faster building the library by growing to size 6 in York and whipping the sucker.

The Canterbury worker should be roading to the furs to camp it for an extra happy. We don't need the mine.

The northern spawnbusting warrior can be deleted - it's not necessary. The southern one should be moved 1E to be more effective because of the 5x5 grid.

Also, we should go settle the copper to the west to make sure we get some metal.

Yes, I'll definitely 3-pop whip the library. Warwick would have been better off building the monument on the 4hpt tile, I guess it doesn't matter now. Canterbury would ideally build another worker now, but I agree with rushing to the western copper. Settler there? In any case, I'd like a settler and a worker from the two main cities quickly. I'll see if I can get some scouting done with extra warriors.

I think we have to forego scientists for now - need some settlers and workers first. I'll try and squeeze in a few GPP turns here and there.

Play to Alphabet? We should go binary 'till library's complete.

Agree with plan and deleting some warriors, they won't save our behinds in case of a DoW anyways.

Sorry, guys. Don't know if I can play 'till tmr morning...

We've already invested half the beakers, so I wouldn't change - but why are we teching Alpha instead of Aesthetics?

Edit:
Warwick actually has Hinduism, so there's no need to complete the monument. Might prove to be useful, since we have a creative neighbor and she might try to settle the northern pig. I think I'd go with straight granary, though.

BTW, we do have Hindu in all cities. It's Hatty's religion. She's about the cheapest Friendly there is, but I would prefer buddying up to Cathy strategically. What do we think?

I played 3t so far. Catherine has Alpha now. I was in 0% research, and we're currently at 5t Alpha, 13t Aest @ 100%, with -13gpt and 55g cash. If we maxed out on science, we could have in 4t or Aest in 14t. That would obviously delay further settlers/workers a bit. What do you guys think we should do?

Played 10t. Screenshots coming...

Nicely done.

Agree with 1W of copper, although with Iron it isn't as important.

Ok, got it.

Some thoughts after glancing over the save. Or call it a rudimentary PPP with some open ends. :p

York: hire 2 scientists when hitting size 5. Shouldn't we mine the tundra hill 1S to have at least one (rather mediocre) hammer tile for our cap? Or do we exclusively count on the whip for production?

Canterbury: grow to 4 in 1 turn, resume worker-production. After worker, finish rax->axes (assuming iron hooked up by then). Or another settler?

Warwick: grow, grow, grow... Whip the lib whenever possible.

Settle 1W of copper. Should we even bother with a monument here? Or just go granary->lib (whip when possible).

Workers: I think all 3 should be heading towards Warwick, connecting it and then hooking up iron asap and the remaining pig. Workers are then in the vicinity of new city next to copper to improve that one. 4th worker from Canterbury basically same thing, unless we want to chop and/or mine something near Canterbury or York?

Resume science when Warwick has its lib whipped? Or why else are we running 0% right now?

1W of the copper sounds good. Man, that plains oasis. It's like the city comes with a free pre-improved tile!

Probably don't need to bother with a monument in the 1W of copper city. A library should be fine if it doesn't catch the Hindu from Warwick.

Going to warwick and new city with the workers sounds good.

I'd think we would want a production tile, however mediocre, in the cap, though it may not make much of a difference. It's not really that great of a cap, though. Maybe we should plan on moving the palace in the future? Or will we be plastering York with workshops?

As for Canterbury I'd say another settler. We wanna get as many cities as we can before the AI sandwiches us, I think.
