Kyp's GMR Game (open sign ups)

Good game Banman - tough starting position over there and I was feeling uncharacteristically militant for some reason (must be because Tab is in the game).

Good game! yeah, and I wasn't helped by the accident that I didn't even know you were there until later than I should have because my scout went east instead of west :hammer2: was almost completely unprepared ... good luck against the rest, that wall should come in handy :D

:think: What happens to the Songhai military strength? Russia no longer has the world's largest weaponry.

With all these peaceful words, i think it 's time for Darius to send some settlers for the new continent. Now that the Ironworks is almost done i can work on some personnal projects.
Is it worth to send settlers to the new continent?
We are playing on quick speed and when the colonies in the New World have grown enough, majority of civs will enter the modern era. I am not certain that these colonies will make difference on who is the winner of the game.

@EEE_boy:
Askia has ordered to train few cannons to protect the lands of Songhai from potential invaders beforehand. Persians were able to conquer our city because the songhai army was unprepared. Askia does not want to repeat that kind of mistake again.
But Songhai remains a peaceful country.

PS RA between Rome and Songhai should have been completed in 2 turns, when Askia got the message of the destruction of Rome. :sad:

Is there any strategic resource bias on the new continent, which could be a good reason to land on that continent if that could net 7 oil or 8 aluminum. Anyway, Russians have no intension nor the naval power to establish colony in this game.

Yeah, there is no notification. Good game to Roman! The Songhai should foresee that and cut a deal with the Chinese to wait for a few more turns. 167g (maybe more) just down to the toilet.

I just did not expect that China would be able to conquer all 4 cities of Rome (which even did not have road connections) within less than 25 turns.

The Romans didn't either :sad: very impressive, not just building up the CKN army by stealth _and_ building Great Wall, but also maneuvering them relatively unheralded the long way around to strike from the opposite side of the Roman Empire

@Banman

Do you know that now it is your turn?
I noticed that you are online and waiting for my turn :)
Sorry if I hurry you.

@RStark: no worries, I do see it ... I'll be clearing turns in a few minutes :) must wait until the students are done with their tests :D

There is 2 or 3 nice coastal spots with other luxs that i don't have. These cities can focus on hammers and chunk a couple of extra ships. Can make a difference if i decide to not let this project on the table for too long. I'm still not quite sure about it. But it should be interesting if i can catch some precious industrial ressources later like EEE mentionned.

@ Russian, we can see your, formerly japanese borders but I dont have any troops close atm. Go southeast to the sea and you might find a trireme scout.

Our scout just learnt swimming skill in Songhai, but they must also swim past Egypt coast to get to Aztec.

Meanwhile, another spearman is dispatched via the east coast of Japanese land. The Egypt has one or two coastal cities settled there. Russian wonder if the spearman need to pass these two cities or not.

Both ETA 10 turns.

If you are at the coast north of Egypt lands between them and the city state there then I should be able to find you.

Islandia, looks like you're the host now.

Please revert the turn. The save seems corrupt. I've tried loading it three times and each time it crashes the game. Thanks.

Thanks for redoing your turn Is, but I still get the same issue: loading up on my civ screen (Egypt), and after a little while the music catches in a loop and then I get the 'encountered a problem and needs to close' message.

Try a few players back, or maybe even a full cycle?

Good point, that did cross my mind, but then left it altogether. :lol:

A warning to the pharaoa. Building a city on the aztec peninsula will be seen as an act of war. Stay away.

Noted. Try to remember the map type. :rolleyes:
