Kyp's GMR Game (open sign ups)

C'mon, Is, we miss killing each other!

This turn Songhai has entered Industrial Era and other powerhouses are not far from doing it too. So we should think of Modern Era beforehand.

In my opinion nukes are overpowered in the vanilla civ. I propose to make an agreement among remaining players in order to limit the usage of nukes in our GMR game. Maybe we should agree on the limitation of not using nukes to eradicate population of enemy cities, but they still can be utilized tactically to destroy enemy units.

However I don't mind of going on without any constraints on nuke usage :bump::satan:

Spotty internet access in Orlando. Too many Mickey Mousers on the wifi so i couldn't effectively take turns. I saw I was skipped in a number of games so I might be dead when I log in :p

Catherine can double uranium numbers, she needs more reasons to convince herself to surrender this UA.
Uranium is quite a rare strategic resource on the map. The main question will be if Russia has any uranuim on its lands. You won't be able to use UA if you don't have the resource. And I don't think that the UA works for Uranium got from allied city states.

@Tabarnak
Askia believes on generosity of the king of Persia, however we have to take a little precaution.
This turn we have sent Darius a proposal of selling Quebec for 300 pieces of gold rather than 200 coins. As soon as songhai ground units, which took the city state, is in safe distance from persian frigates, Askia will return to Persia 100 gold.

Alright.

About Nukes : Seems ok for me.

:nuke: WARNING :nuke:

Watch out for Askia. He got Dynamite and ''hardly'' beelined it(did he burn some gs?). He would not beeline this tech only for defense, he has plenty enough to defend at this time.

I suspect that he will be on offensive mode very soon :scan: Which civ will be in danger?

Gee, I'm sure glad we have a defensive pact. :D

Apparently the one he didn't sign research agreement with.

Catherine suspect the artilleries will be filled in Egypt Streets.

Unless a mutually satisfying peace is concluded between Egypt and Russia, Pharaoh must reserve the right to use nuclear weapons. Given our tiny nation's precarious position in the Old World, we are unsure we can even abide by the proposed no nukes against cities policy. After all, the blast range is two tiles, so they'd only be permitted in battle three tiles from any city. This would effectively ban their use in defending our borders entirely, and we are well aware that securing nuclear weapons may be our only effecitve deterrent against continued foreign aggression.

Catherine continues to believe force will win the day, looking forward to her cannon being upgraded to artillery regiments to rain death on our cities. How many times need we suggest you make us an offer we can live with?

There is no building or wonder can be built in Moscow, so this continuous war/ threat can drag down both Egypt and Songhai, the two tech monsters likely to be out of control if unchecked. Songhai is included because they have to spend hammers indirectly helping the ally in a proxy war.

Askia will be very pleased with Catherine if she puts aside her plans of invasion of egyptian lands.

@Islandia
Askia also would like to propose the chinese empress to sign mutually beneficial research agreement again as soon as the emperial treasury of China accumulates enough gold.

Askia was deeply concerned by the intelligence brought by his spy an hour ago. The secret message stated that the russians recently have completed the research of Dynamite and quickly have been upgrading their cannons into artillery.
"My God, let the Pharaoh my ally and his people survive the forthcoming hardships!" - Askia fell to his knees and began praying.

Hmm it begins to be really interesting...i guess that i should do the same :splat:

The Songhai spies deserve promotion. 1 Russian Great Scientist born just 1 turn ago has to devote his life to accelerate this advance. The national treasury is quickly running dry, which Catherine has been saving hard by pushing away research agreement request. Catherine was never a good student of RA and forgot to beeline techs to maximise RA benefits.

Golden age entered. Darius calculated that this one will last approximatively 35 turns. I'm gonna be rich!!! :cool:

The Pharaoh of Egypt gave Songhai one of egyptian cities (Elephantine). In return Askia decided to DoW Russia!

From now Songhai and Russia are formally in the state of war.

Yes, the governor of Elephantine, seeing Pharaoh's weakness, successfully petitioned The Great Askia to bring his people under his protective wing.

Besieged Egypt awaits the Aztec naval assault, and hopes the Persian caravel in the Gulf of Egypt is filled with war tourists, rather than being the herald of a great Persian fleet, come to hasten our demise.

All praise be to the Great Lord, Askia Muhammad!!
