Hmm. Maybe Harald is going to get the Teddy treatment as many have suggested. Since they are calling the new one Viking and he has Longboats in his back ground.
It would be weird for one version to have a longboat LUU while the other has a Longboat background
I'm sure the old one is going to be Viking Harald. His current leader screen also shows a longboat too. The original one also looks more like Norway with the fjord and aurora borealis, where Varangian Harald's background could be longboats in a different location such as Eastern Europe.Hmm. They haven't done that before, so I don't think they'd do that now. I'm sure Viking Longboats would stay with the Viking persona.Nevertheless, it is still posaible both versions habe longboats as UU. I guess there is nothing stopping it, right?
You know, I agreed with this til I just saw their tweet for him that said “ready the longboats”.They haven't done that before, so I don't think they'd do that now. I'm sure Viking Longboats would stay with the Viking persona.
I honestly hope they don't pull a Cleopatra and give us two different versions of the same thing. I really am/was looking forward to possibly a more religious/trade take on Norway, at least. You know, I agreed with this til I just saw their tweet for him that said “ready the longboats”.
I don’t think they’ll rework Viking Harald. Giving Varangian Harald the same UU would be inconsistent (and dare I say, a bit uninspired…) but I wouldn’t be surprised now.
"Hello, I come with letters from Her Majesty Victoria
who, learning how you're trading now, sings 'Hallelujah Gloria!'
and sent me to convey to you her positive euphoria
as well as little gifts from Britain's various emporia.
"Her Majesty considers the arrangement to be tentative,
Until we ship a proper diplomatic representative.
We don't foresee that you will be the least bit argumentative,
so please ignore the Man-o-War we brought as a preventative."
Does it look like it's on the Thames to you? Interesting. To me it doesn't really look like it's next to the Thames on the picture. And you can see St Paul's from the Thames (even the other side of it), so it's probably not 100% accurate, but it's also not that far off tbh.Victoria the Victorian... ow my head.
Anyway, love the picture of St. Paul's, even if it isn't really next to the Thames
Perhaps it's the weird perspective throwing me off, with the bridge more or less equal in degree above horizon to the top of the main nave. Nowadays you can only see the dome from the Thames because of the build-up around it. Even in the 1800s (and as far back as 1666 when the Great Fire happened) the area around St. Paul's was very dense. Even though it's only three blocks from the river in real life, I feel like it shouldn't be as visible and looming as it is presented here.Does it look like it's on the Thames to you? Interesting. But yeah, lovely picture indeed. One of the better ones in the game in my opinion.
I mean if you play with her without GS rules, you'll still get access to British Museums, right?Clearly Victoria is going for a culture victory by using its industrial advantage to mass produce postcards of London of dubious authenticity to trick foreign tourists into visiting.
Where's the smog? The thick, depressive atmosphere? The homeless, the unemployed? I keep on referring her to Steampunk Vicky, and I'll continue to do so.But even then, Age of "Steam" is a polite name for this persona
One must wonder, what's her other persona gonna be? Colonizer?
