Leaderhead Requests

Ekmek... he looks pretty cool and I like it... I was kinda thinking Francis might more resemble the Frederick LH... I have NO IDEA how hard/easy it is to switch heads around... if it's easy, I'd like to see same look on Frederick, but if it's a pain, this is certainly the best Francis I leaderhead I've ever seen, so I'm cool with it!

Its nice Ekmek, enormous improvement over your old LH's, but your textures still need some work, and the scaling of the crown compared with the head is a bit strange. And you should stop using vanilla and BTS leader backgrounds and replace them with new ones from a google image search or something.

Please, please do Constantine the Great for the Byzantine empire. (He was the Byzantines first emporer and you could say he created an entire new civilization through Constantinople and the Byzantines.) It would even work with Rome. It's a real tragedy that he hasn't been in a Civilization game yet. He did alot for history and civilization as a whole. He's a very significant historical figure.

Okay here is an in-game shot. Not sure why medallion went gray so i may remove it....I'll wait for wolfshanze's comments and any additional changes before posting.

I like it. Good job. :goodjob: Too much plane white on the robe, but all and all, really nice. ;)

Ok this f rancis has more skinning to do but I wanted to show what happened when i cut off julius's scalp and put it on fredrick's head. Once I blend the skin I think its a good match.
Well that's looking better... if you can get the scalp fixed!

Re: Akbar and constatine

Could you guys recommend leaderparts, it makes it much easier on LH makers.

Well, I am no visual artist, my skills lie in music. Looking at the wikipedia picture, I would say that mao or wang kon could possibly serve as a base model for Akbar. Beyond that, I have no clue.

Cheers,

So yeah, that's a lot, but they're all specific, and useful I think. There are actually a couple more that I'd like to see, but I don't yet have an idea for how to make them. I figure that if these actually happen, I'll worry about those at that time. Thanks to anybody who bothers to read these, let alone takes a shot at making them.

Re: Akbar and constatine

Could you guys recommend leaderparts, it makes it much easier on LH makers.

You just made my day! :D

For Constantine...
Idea's for his face:
Alexander,
Napoleon (more for his jaw),
Augustus (mostly for the eyes, ears, and forehead),
or a combination of any of the above.

Eyes: I think Augustus might have the best eyes for the job, but not the best jaw. Justinian might also be an option with the eyes too.

Jaw: The Alexander leaderhead seems to have a similar jaw as Constantine too. The problem is most of those leaderheads scowl at you with their eyes in the animations.

According to the sculptures, He seems to have had a squared jaw line with some-what round cheeks. However the statue with the sword sugggests that he may have been toned or some-what thin as far as his physique is concerned.

Hair:
Probably Alexander would work best. Augustus's would work nicely as well. Although Alexander actually has the famous laurel leafs.

Body: I think either Augustus' breast plate with a Roman style cape, and the Byzantine symbol added, or Julius Ceasar's toga with Justinian's cape wrap. Different colors for distinction and variety of coarse. ;) Maybe white for the toga with a brighter (or perhaps more burgundy) for the wrap/cape.

Background/land drop: The Justinian background, or the Julius background works.

Use your own discretion as the artist to what fits his sculpture pictures the best. You know more about this stuff than I do. Take from what ever leaders you think works. :)

I found another sculpture that might also help profile his look...

Pick and choose as you wish. You're the artist! ;)

Re: Francis I white robes

I'll try to add more "bling" to it. Anyone recommend what leader to get some from?

I think the robe looks great in the picture you just posted this page (page 3). Personally, I'd keep the robe like that. You could see the line on the forehead where you seperated the faces though. :)

Those are all pretty good requests. I have to tell you about faces/heads though. Its easy to take the hair and scalp/forehead because that is just attached to the head "bone". Taking eyes and lips and jaws are much harder because the faces uses several bones and piecing it perfectly together will take a long time. Then you have to add the textures to match up to it. So what happens is that if I take the jaw from one leader and put it on another they aren't usually the same size or the bones don't line up and then the face's skin is coming from two different face pictures and its hard to get the skin to match up. So its usually easier to reshape heads.

I'll be back loaded this week, but between study breaks I'm working on a blender guide that should help a lot of you interested in leaderheads be able to do what I do in blender - it doesn't take that lon really after getting used to it.

PS after Francis I'm finishing my Dom Pedro, then its Kruger, and then Constatine and after that maybe henry the navigator or I'll find somewhere to start on vrenir's list  But I hope some of you give those a try :D

Need 2 Romanian leaders.

Michael the Brave:
Misu_Popp_-_Mihai_Viteazul.jpg

(possibly based on one of our fellow sultans? in particular... Suilamen?) for body, a reskinned Augustas body plate armour and a random reskinned cape.(justinians maybe?)

second leader is...
Stephen the Great!
Humorstefan.jpg

He was seen as a saint and holy by the Moldovans so make him in fancy christain clothing. Charlemagne would be a good base for his body. and maybe for his face to. but there are some differences such as Charlemagne having a beard and Stephen the great having another hair colour.

I also don't see Charlemagne's crown on Stephen...

No interest in this?

I created a guide to help anyone interested try blender, however you need to know nifskope to finish the leaderhead (I havent made the tutorial yet but easy to guide you if you need it).

Please try it out and help me improve it for others that want to make leaderheads.

Thanks for taking on Michael For me. i thought about the hat as well. Good Luck! Can't wait too see how he looks like.

Wow Ekmek, that's coming along great! Just for fun, is it Augustus Caesar, Alexander's laurels, and Pericles' cape thing?
