Liberals vs. macho stuff

hummers' only place is something to laugh at.

but then again, i'm sure those middle aged suburbanites get a lot of laughing done at the pump.

macho things are homo erotic. greasy, sweaty rambo is so fun to watch for supposedly straight men? does the fact he kill people with phallic objects make up for it?

So... straight men shouldn't watch Rambo because it's homo-erotic? When did that even matter? I like Rambo movies. I like Die Hard. I like watching infallible, one dimensional tough guys blast hundreds of nameless goons, preferably while shirtless and covered in bad-ass scars and dirt because it adds to the feel of the movie. Is that Gay? Maybe. Do I care? No. But I still think it's manly. Since when did manly = straight anyways?

Isn't trying to understand a problem more Bridgette Jones than Rambo? I have no problem with your username. Big Dog in the name and asspocket in the title is pretty entertaining.
when did this turn into how macho i am i never said i was as a matter fact your probably more "manly" than me with a job, girlfriend/wife or whatever you got, and you being the hardass that you are:D, this is about why liberals (more really my liberal friend) have problems with manly stuff

We've already explained it.

Manly for the sake of being manly is homosexual. You need to also be fundamentally liberal (in the classical, fundamental context of the word) and fundamentally moral in order to truly be considered a "man", and this is what Rambo and crap lacks.

Amen. There is a time for ultraviolence and there is time for acting socially normal.

I guess since never.

I mean look at the ancient Greeks, they were pretty bad ass, and they were one of the gayest cultures out there.

I GOT IT!!!!!!!!

i was thinking that you guys just hated it but i couldnt understand why but now i know its not a thing of hatred but its a thing of jealousy instead of admiring the manly stuff like most guys do you just hate on it cuz your jealous

damn why am i so brilliant

Why the hell would I be jealous of manly stuff? It doesn't appeal to me at all. I find it quite frankly disgusting for the reasons that I mentioned.

i dono maybe your dad never told you how proud he is of you, im not a freakin psychiatrist

To those of us who are sufficiently secure in our sexuality, it doesn't and shouldn't matter. You have to realize, though, that nothing is more homoerotic than typical 80s-style action movies (the canonical example being Commando even more than Rambo or Die Hard, but many other examples exist). Not even the Village People could possibly out-gay a movie where the final showdown is a sweaty fight between a shirtless muscleman and a dude with a chainmail vest and a mustache. Seriously.

Nope. My dad is plenty proud of me, but not for being "manly"

there it is, you want him to proud of your manliness but he isnt so you hate on Rambo for being so badass

Dude, I'm probably as far as you can possibly get from "manliness"

Rambo's not badass. He's a psychopath.

My dad isn't proud of me. But . .. .. .. . him. It's about what the ladies think not my father. :smug:
