Liberals vs. macho stuff

I'm sure a person's political leanings influences their stance on Rambo. It's a fact.

He lied about it. The proper macho manly thing to do would have been to say "Yeah, got some there. I told her she should practice more and get back to me; in the meantime I've got a few other interns to test out."

I think what he did was the most politically palatable a politician could still be when it comes to being a pimp. A "manly" person would be forced to do the same thing, IMO.

When hearing Rambo and stuff referred to as "macho", I hear this ghostly scornful laugh of some 60-unfiltered-smokes-a-day of some Spanish guy at the back of my mind

To me, this guy represents a True Macho; liberal (well, he was a politically naive über-anarcho-individualist), cool, suave, cultivated, European.

The American Rambo/hummer stuff is for overgrown boys, which is what most American macho-aspirations end up looking like. (I could go for Teddy Roosevelt though, I guess.) The Real Men tend to be found in places like Spain and Italy.

whats your damn problem with the new Rambo/any tuff guy movie? i have a liberal friend who wont shut the hell up about it every time we see the commercial for Rambo he always says something like "great thats just what we need" or "thats just impossible, arrows dont blow up"

Hummers look ridiculous, and are gas guzzlers.

Rambo is so corny I won't even start on that. Plus said movies typicallly don't have any interesting plot, and appeal to the lowest common denominator. : OHHH YEEEAAAH EXPLOSSSSIONS LAWL"
