LINESII- Into the Darkness

Where can Obsidian be found? And also, Swordsmen using metal would be better than those using Obsidian, correct?

The mountain ranges and the southern coast from Veritas to Kehexou are the rockiest areas.

But are they volcanic?

Finally Obsidan clubs can't be used for thrusting so are signifcantly worse than metal blades, they are also harder to make.

History of Gorin (the rather lazy version)

Gorin began as a rather violent nation, in it’s early years when Geo’La ruled the clan councils there were constant wars. Geo’La being a rather peaceful man at heart could not force his ways upon his more violent brothers. So, with he and his family (servants included) he moved south, towards the milk lands (where the lighter people dwell). Many of his friends and loyal followers came with him and settled on along the river Tribu. Geo’La kept the name Gorin for his village and as head of the village, decried that any military force of any kind was to be outlawed. This law itself though was rather hard to enforce, since there was no one to enforce it. Hence this was a rather bad, well very bad, law and it never worked since Geo’La’s son betrayed him and killed him. Tomi, the son, never gained power, since by Gorin law the wife of the clan leader was to take charge so Shanti’La became the leader and though Tomi tried to kill her also, he did not succeed. This is when the entire village began to change because from then on all leaders were female, unlike previously when it had been a very male dominated. This gave way to a rather different society, hide painting became rather popular, but the most significant achievement made by these female leaders was meditation. It was started by Nerpha Shanti, the Bronze Queen, who is considered a saint as she is the person who brought Gorin from the rather foolish worshiping of animals and trees. (It was after Nerpha Shanti that the word Shanti was used for all women, as a respectful term)
After many years with meditation, which was later dubbed Lotus Pose and became a religion known as Shrobothi (literally to look into ones self), and after many female leaders the men in the city (which was quickly becoming a nation) wanted to rule also. Of course, it was widely known that men, when given power, would want more, but one could not put aside men’s genius when it came to killing. At the time of this debate, Arya Shanti was leader of the clan, and came up with the suggestion of having an equal number of men and women on a council. 13 was the number they came up with, though how they got that exact number no one knows. There would be 12 members, 6 male, 6 female, and the head of the council, who has been female always.
The council had always been very adamant against expanding buy when Shro Shanti came into power (the current leader) things began to change. The army was restarted, since other nations where now a threat, or posed a threat since they to had men who were ready to fight and unlike them, Gorin had none at all. Shro Shanti first started recruiting people during the expanding of Gorin’s borders and her recruitment did not exclude women. Now, since the Gorin nation did not have much technology pertaining the art of war there was a massive amount of funding for research into it. This helped develop spears more and metal casting. (an unexpected side effect of this was the increase in the arts, which now use metals constantly for statues). This also developed Gorin’s first coin and hence currency. This was probably the best and worst invention (along with the invention of hats) because it made poverty more evident and real. This gave even more power to the council as it controlled the majority of the coins in the Gorin economy and could expand faster while building an army to keep pace. Currently expansion along the river Tribu is going as planed though Shro has had complaints of the growing and evident threat of their neighboring nations to the peaceful Gorin.

Everyone who hasn't sent orders, do. I told you when the orders were to be sent, so send 'em.

I'm updating regions where I have orders from.

Chief Hathron look out over the great gathering of from the hill he and his men had just climbed. behind him the enemy was approaching. he and his meen had been baiting them on and off the two weeks. they thought they were winning. the faux villige (in truth small Dula trading outpost), and several abandoned tents, some with ocatsional goods, had fooled them.

but in truth, nothing had been futher then the truth. his forces were less then 1/3rd of the total Dula-Hathren army. the Auroch herds had been coaxed to the southern grazing grounds. well, all but one. it would tax the herds, and it would take a while for them to recover. a few would be lost. but the new land that would open up would more then make up for it.

the Eldrania woun't know what hit them...
