bow down to the Goddess!
tremble in awe of her beuty and our terrible Horse-archers!

we demand you accept the joys of the steppes and relocate your peoples to the north.

you shall also give the Goddess GOORA all but 1 eco point of your income, as tribute to her Icy Coolness and as a means to replace all the heroes your cowardly spears have murdered!

if you are willing to accept GOORA as the greatest goddess, we may consider letting you adapt to the windy plains

To Gerber
From Davar

We demand that you pull out of Tristaria immediatly and pay for damages inflicted upon Tristaria.

Some clarification.
Moneil- The highest general in Davar
Dineil- The second highest general
Trineil- Third highest and so on. Peneil(5th), Seneil( 6th).

-Speech given by Moneil Harus in 1076 to The Davian Council-

"My people, we have arrived at a fork in the road that will determine the fate of our people! There are two clean-cut choices for us to choose. On one path lies the chance to be truly great. We could expand and become the largest nation in the east. We could grow well in the prosperity of peace and isolationism. Yet, also that path would present major consequences. We will have to turn our backs upon our friends, leave them to be seized and brandished to defeat by oppressive foes. Our word will mean northing to the world.

The other road will not be an easy one. I can promise you nothing but suffering, blood, and death. But I can also promised you one thing: a clean mind. If we stand as one against the west, there is nothing we can not do. Push the Gerbers out of Tristaria. Assist the Veritisains in their war, as they have done for us. Aid the peaceful Emorans against the threat of conquest by barbarians.

I have said before that this will not be easy. We will be at war for centuries, if not longer. Many young and old men alike will die for countries that they do not serve. Peace will never be secured on these borders. Yet, I am here today asking you to take this path. Yes, we will suffer. And yes, plenty shall give their lives for the cause. But there is one question you must ask yourself! Shall we, in their time of need, turn our back on our allies? The ones we pledged to assist no matter the situation!?

I am here to ask you to fight! To stand as one with our brothers and declare that we are people of our word! To look towards the west and tell them that we are not afraid to fight, to die! To shed our blood in defense of our beliefs and friends. To stand as one and shout to the entire world that we will not back down! That we will not turn our backs to on our friends! THAT WE WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE ETERNAL NIGHT BUT STAND AS ONE AGAINST THE FORCES OF TYRANNY!"

Boroshno Oborski served the crowd of elders and priests, his piercing eyes making them rather uncomfortable. His black hands gripped his staff as he held up his robes so he could step up onto the platform. All eyes were on him, and he was as cool as ever, just as his fore-fathers he was a born leader. He was a savvy, devious, shrewd, merciless, brutal, power-hungry, and kind-hearted man who would stop at nothing to secure the future of the Gorinese Empire for his people. He had personally trained the new Aji, the short-swordsmen and the warriors of the new age. He had personally over seen the building of catapults and the training of the Ramids. He had over seen the transfer of bronze bars to the Shalamari and Khemri and had personally stamped them bronze bars himself. He had brought the Empire into the new age, a golden age.

“Gentlemen, the Gorin Empire has survived the test of time, the Gorin Empire has prevailed in every war, on every front, at all times. No one has ever breached the security of the Crystal Ridge Mountains and no one has ever gotten past the Wardash. We are a nation of Warriors, we are a civilization of scholars, we are a people of GREATNESS!” his eyes were mad with ecstasy, his arms out stretched “We are the future of man kind, Our weapons are the best ever made, for who was the first to discover bronze in our world? Who was the first to make catapults, who was the first capture the great and powerful Ramids and bring them over the Crystal Ride Mountains. We! We have done all this, We have defeated the Veritas and brought their corrupt republic to its knees! We are the new model of nation for all others to follow.”

“Now it is time to truly move this nation to a better place, to make our capital the center of culture in the Wardash, a statue of Dula shall be built in Gorin a bronze statue, to symbolize the new age of civilization.” Suddenly a Crystalist priest stood up angrily.

“And what of the Red Lady! How dare you leave her from such a momentous statue.”

“Ah, but you did not let me finish, at Dula’s side will be his wife, the Red Lady, to symbolize the connection we have with the Shalamri and with Crystalism.” Slowly the priest seated himself, appearing to be more content now.

“My comrades this statue is to be the greatest symbol of the Bronze Age ever created!” This time the elders clapped with a little more vigor, some standing up and cheering.

“These are your new weapons” said General Orisk as clean polished bronze weapons were handed out to the line of men “They are swords, the cutting edge in new weapons technology and they will give you a huge advantage over any enemy. Spears cannot compete with these great weapon, and they will be the Gorin’s pride and honor. But they are not just weapons any more, now that they are in your hands, they are your life, this is what you live for, your sword”

“Repeat after me: My sword is my life” all the men repeated in unison, gripping their swords tightly “Without my sword I am nothing, my sword is not a sword but a part of me, I shall use my sword to strike down my enemies without hesitation, I am my sword”

“This is your creed comrades, this is your bond, your word of honor, your glory, your love, your heart, your soul, this is you” the General smacked the flat side of his sword against his chest “this is what you shall live for, this sword, whether to kill your enemy, or to skin a fish, it will be used to the best of its ability.”

The men all smacked their swords against their chests. Order, this is the new order, it could only described as such because it was just that, order. Ordered army, ordered chaos, ordered faith, ordered culture, ordered death, all things in the Empire was order. Each fight was ordered, and each more was ordered by the mover, the pawns were ordered and the pieces were ordered into place, the board was ordered into being and being a board of war, it was ordered to fight.

“We are Order my comrades”

One the men, a rather large and buff man, chuckled when the General had his back turned. All eyes shifted to him as the General slowly turned “Do you have something to say?”

“No sir”

“Yes you do, step forward” the large man slowly stepped forward, smirking and looking down at the General. Before this little story continues one must understand why General Orisk command such respect and unshaken loyalty. The General was a rather small meager looking man, who came from a small farmer. His father was poor, and he was poor, but he had always had skill with the blade. At the age of 11 the General had single handedly defeated a group of 10 Nkondi raiders who had made it across the Wardash and into the Gorinese Empire. His only weapon, a bronze sword that he had made as a tool to stab predators that got to close. The Lord Kaiser had heard about the boy and he himself went to visit him. He immediately back a soldier in the army, and at such a young age it was unheard of. He rose in ranks quickly, his swordsmanship and mastery of battle tactics from some of the greatest Generals earned him a legendary name in the Empire. All the little boys wanted to be like the General, and all the little girls wanted to marry him. Yet he was still only 14 now, and he had already become one of the Lord Kaiser’s head military advisors. He had drawn up plans for the catapults and was the first Gorin citizen to ride a Ramid. At the age of 16 he had become head General of the Gorin army and headed up the development of the Aji, in conjunction with the Lord Kaiser himself. Now he was just one year older, and even deadlier than before.

“If you think size matters then attack me” the General said with his back still turned to the huge man and his hand not even on the hilt of his sword. The man laughed. Laughed as if he thought the General was joking, however he was not, and the large and apparently rather stupid man soon found this out when no one else laughed with him.

“I’ll crush you boy, you know that”

“As I said before, if you think size matters then attack me” the General said calmly.

Without another word the man charged at the General, swinging his sword down in a deadly arch, the power behind his swing enough to crack stone. At the last possible moment and in one smooth move the General moved down and out of the way while drawing his sword. The General brought his sword across the mans stomach as he still charged forward, his stomach completely ripped open and his innards spilling out as he came crashing down to the ground. Gasps escaped the mans mouth as he struggled to understand what had just happened, a pool of blood spreading slowly around him before he died in the dirt

“You see men, size is nothing, numbers are nothing, if one can move faster, and move the right way at the right time and know where to strike then one can completely destroy ones enemy.” The General served the men, not one expression had changed, not one eye had drifted to the body that lay bleeding on the ground. “This is not war” He pointed his sword at the gutted man “This is but a fraction of what war is comrades, war is ten thousand times this” his eyes pierced the men’s emotionless faces. “We begin your training tomorrow, enjoy your life now drink, find a woman and have your way with her, enjoy this day, for when it is over and the new dawn comes, your souls, your hearts, your minds, your bodies, they belong to me”

All the men clapped their fists to their chest and then slowly relaxed, dissolving one by one away to the cities.

To: Emor
From: Myocaca

We want the same deal as you have given the Swade. If you continue this war mind you that both me and Swade are in alliance and to continue a war with me is one with Swade.

kentharu! You could have just edited your post instead of posting a new one 1 minute later! :p

Nice stories. I now have the time to do the stats and double check everything.

Sorry erez, no ridable creatures. Although the Gorinese have Ramids.

But explore, because somewhere in the darkness, there are horses...

Kentharu, what nation are you...

if your sword is your life, Bladeism is the religion for you:goodjob:

And Umm.... yeah, Davar, WTH do think your doing. Emor has specifically said she doesn't WANT your aid, and your people will be needlessly slaughtered. Your a warmongering fool. Your disagree with your ally's and IGNORE what they say.

OOC: Really, read the FREAKING thread before you make decisions;)

We advise you not to expand further south than your current border. We will take any further expansion on your part southwards as a threat against Davian security.
Surely you know that we are sworn to peace? We will never go to war offensively. There is no threat from us--we wish peace and progress on all humanity. However, we will not expand further south to honor your wishes.

hmm, are you done with the stats iggy? seems that at least some of them are updated...
edit: yeah they are. although shouldn't i get small population boost due the barbarian migration?

The stats aren't done, they do not include update events, only things in orders...

All stats are updated!

Edit: Shoots andis-1 for asking that question.

Oh, now you can bug me about stat errors. Because now I think the stats are right.
