LINESII- Into the Darkness

What else is in it for us? We request the right to run our own internal affairs, but we will follow your foreign actions with our military and swear loyalty to the Emperor.

Agreed, and that the heirs of the principle citizens of your city live in Guanzhong to be entertained by the Emperor and serve as companions(friends that is) to the Crown Prince.

I hereby declare that the NAP between Shalamari and the Lengels extends to the CRA. (Kentharu, you have no choice but to agree this.) As such, I will plant the bomb:

From: Shalamari
To: Gerber

We accept your petition to join the CRA.

OOC: Like that, Contempt? Huh? HUH? :p

To Khermi
From Davar

Fine, we'll agree to the trade deal through we doubt it'll be in use for long.

OOC: Since Gorin already signed a NAP with the Lengels, and both Gorin and Khemri were positive towards Gerber joining in the first place, I think this is OK. Great. Now let's all wait for the Contempt's response to this one.

OOC: Why is this so funny? Gerber doesn't seem that important, and the Lengels would have to go through other countries to attack them...

Iggy, you said you were updating stats like hours ago!

Iggy can I call up Urban Militia (Somehting like Thlayli did )or something? And if so, how many men do you think I'd be able to raise?

Well, people have a bad thought about what happens to Urban Militia. They're meat shields, and they all die, and they don't get paid at all. Veritas kinda spoiled their use.

I wasn't even planning on attacking Gerber. I thought it had an alliance with you, so it wasn't even in my plans.

OOC: I assume the .2 extra from my copper age spearmen doesn't transfer over? Also, I should have 1500 archers instead of 500 archers. Please and thank you :D :worship:

Can I arm them with bows and use them properly? I only need em for one turn.

Ah, arrows? That would be Okay. Will they be in safe conditions, and will they be paid? Double if they suffer over 50% casualties.

Unique Unit: Lengel Eagle Hunters

These men are the elite. They are the absolute best at hunting, scouting, and shooting a bow. Any general that employs these men in his service is helped greatly by their skill, and their tactical supplication. Made famous by Temujan in his out-flanking of the Nkondians, these men are few, but their precense can mean the difference between victory, and defeat.

Their skill lies in their training. From birth, these men have trained with eagles. They use them to help them hunt, using the eagles as their eyes and ears, and comanding the loyalty of these eagles with experience, and training. In hunting, this allows the men to know where prey is from the eagles scouting for its master. In war, this allows the army to know where an enemy is thanks to eagle scouts, saving the men that might have been lost in scouting.

As military campaigns rely on the most up to date infromation, these men are extremely useful. Temujan used them in great affect in the ambush and destruction of the Nkondian warriors, the scouts allowing Temujan to know exactly where his enemy was, and drew them into a prefect ambush.

Their use in ambushes is their greatest asset, as their eagles provide the warning when the enemy approaches, as well as the call to strike. Thus, the Lengel Eagle Hunters can be the eyes and ears of the Lengel horde, and allow them to take fewer causalties through their accurate scouting capibilities.

Not only that, but because these men are such skilled hunters, the Lengel Eagle hunters are extremely fast and good shots with their deadly arrows. Their small number make them extremely elite (as there was never more than five hundred of them in Temujan's entire Nkondian army), and as such when the actual battle is engaged, these men can fire extremely accurate arrows at their enemies, making any enemy fear the bite of a Eagle Hunters arrow.

Iggy, you forgot my wonder that I put 1 econ. into. Here's the reminder:

Nomad's Capital: [Establishes Lengalzi as my capital, +2 culture]

Will they be in safe conditions, and will they be paid? Double if they suffer over 50% casualties.

Of course not. Thats why I need em. They'll be realitively safe compared to the rest of my strategy, but knowing my luck I'll get run over any way. I just need to make it past this turn and I'll be in a much better position. I can pay later, right?

I'm not done the stats yet, I'm just close. BTW, Swissempire, I found the source of our problems. I did this update off the orders you sent me in the 'orders for the next 2 updates'. I just noticed your replacement orders now, so I'll do the eco things from them.

500 hundred Eagle Hunters?

Well, a more accurate amount would probably be around 300, but I want to be fully prepared. Besides, the way my army operates, these men will not be concentrated to any one place, but spread out to best utilize the mobile force I have.

No, no, I just meant the typo which implied you have 50 000 of them :scared: ;)
