Magreb nicely dropped off it's only settler near where the Armored car is so:
LK173_AD1926.png

Preturn: Add aprox 500 gpt selling last era tech and Fascism

Also planted a spy and it looks like China may have 8 settlers.

IBT: No Chinese attack
Magreb lands a settler.

1925 AD/2: Move all but 5 infantry to the square one north of Berlin. My hope it China will go after the 5 infantry rather than leaving units in Beijing. Only fast units can attack (they have around 20 fast units). Moved a mix of Steamrollers and Armored cars plus the settler onto the 1N of Berlin stack.

Also landed the other units that couldn't land on the mountain to absorb attacks as well.

IBT: Southern stack is killed but takes a bunch of units with it. Army is not attacked. Units move toward 5 infantry with no additional attacks.

1926 AD:
It takes about 70 units to capture Beijing. We build the city 1N and move over armies. This allows us to also capture Nanking.

IBT: Some attacks on Nanking by fast units.

1926 AD/2: We got mass production which allows us to build settlers. I didn't realize it had moved. Will start filling in land.
Capture Shanghai and Canton
Oceana will settle where we want to so declare war. They are on the next island to conquer so I suggest staying at war.

1927 AD: Capture final towns on Chinese home island with armies:
Tzingtao and Xinjian.
Boat to head for amphibious assault of final Chinese town is set up.
Did trading of Mass Production to get Marine engineering, 14k gold, and 714 gpt.

1927 AD/2:
Capture Chengdu and China is destroyed.
LK173_AD1927a.png

One boat can make it there that has Steamrollers. Build roads on squares near the town.
Fill another set of boats that should be able to unload next turn. I included first combat settlers

Notes:
We have around 30K gold after I rushed some stuff using the money from the Inca for Mass Prod.

I just realized I traded Mass Production to Persia who is our best next target. We can still attack them but we will lose the 714 gpt we got. (An error on my part -forgot to check).
Options are:
1) Ignore loss and cut through Persia. Essentially we gave them MP for free.
2) Go around and go after Britain. We can build towns to get around as shown in the image below (maybe use an Artist for blue? we have several and it might open up other options) This is more work but gains us 14k gold over 20 turns. We can go under Persia and take out the other civs and come back after 20 turns. We would want to send a boat to get to red more quickly.

Additional note: We might need boats to get around the choke at Sheffield if we go for the British first. It is clear at the moment but an expansion by Persia might cut it off (building towns just outside the 20 squares of Portsmouth would get us past.

Some spots not yet filled (town suggestions). Check for other locations. Close to deserts and mountain ranges with a great Artist can also get more land.

Steamer build in Chinese Launch allows us to move 6 more units to the new continent next turn and can include units that come from near Alexandria.
Example: We could move the great artist into Alexandria to Telleborg, then into the Chinese Launch boat across and then it can move on the new continent

Chengdu has about 30 units with 30 already on a boat plus the 6 from the steamer in Chinese Launch gives 66 total for warfare next turn.

Alexandria still has around 66 Armored cars near it that haven't yet made it to Chinese Lands.
There are around 74 near Chinese Launch.

For tech I think we have 2 good choices:
1) Tanks for obvious reasons.
2) If when we get Improved Ammunition, it looks like the new continent will be cleared quickly, then I suggest Flight instead of Tanks. We can airlift Armored Cars but not Tanks. Converting all workers to Airfields would get many to the continent after the current new one. So the question is whether we want this in around ~9 turns (next tech) or ~15 turns (tanks first), which depends on our speed of conquest.

We went from 32.3% land to 36.5% during Greebley’s set. We don’t seem to be hitting the super-fast wrap mode that other games have. It will take a bit to get the troops to the next land mass. The good news is it is a large one.

Once motorized settlers start arriving, we need to fill in everywhere. With the ability to plant forests in Tundra, we should hopefully gain a good chunk of territory that way.

Greebley, Great overall progress. :hatsoff:

I got it.

Unless there are objections, at the start of next turn, I am going to declare war on both Britain and Persia. Also, maybe Korea just to capture their 1 town that is in Zululand.

Teaser, in between turns took about 45 minutes. Most of the time was spent going thru our 191 towns, picking what to build next.

I'm glad to see filler cities in progress. Even those tiny islands help toward winning this

Greebley deserves the credit for the filler towns. He built several of them on our various landmass.

I think he meant he spent time picking builds and it doesn't usually take that long. My guess is 8 minutes or so?
Yes, I think JJ means in firts line the time for going through the cities. But I played that interesting game for myself, too - and noticed, that the interturn times, even with the C3X optimations in the late game lasted very long on my old pc (on my new pc they were considerable faster).

I consider to reduce the max, mapsize in CCM 3 from 250x250 to 230x230.
I don' think that reducing the map size to 230x230 would make that much difference in the between turn time. I do run with animation on for both friendly and enemy civs. Where I spend most of my time whether it is mid-game or late game is seeing my builds and setting what to build next.
This last turn, I had (based on a quick count) 78 towns complete a build about 1/2 of which were buildings. If I assume I spend an average time of 20 seconds per town setting the next build, that works out to 26 minutes. If I assume 30 seconds as the average it would be 39 minutes.
Also, during the between turn the Incas declared war on Oceania and Korea. Plus, Korea and Persia singed an MPP. I write those events down so I can include them in my upcoming report. So those events and my writing them down add to the time spent between turns.

@Jersey Joe - I'm in no rush. My schedule is crazy right now.

Civinator, the upgrade path for the Niels Juel Class is broken. We just learned Improved Ammunition, but the Niels Juel Class will not upgrade to a Coastal Defense Ship.

I did find 1 city where I could upgrade the Niels Juel Class to a Coastal Defense Ship. It is the city with the Cruiser Project. It also appears to be the only city where I can build a Coastal Defense Ship. However, I can still build Niels Juel Class ships in all my coastal towns.

Jersey Joe, as you have found out yourself, the upgrade path of the Niels Juel Class to a Coastal Defense Ship is not broken. As the upgrade needs the virtual resource "Capital Ships" in the city, and cities that can have that virtual resource in it, are strictly limited (see the screenshot below), such an upgrade can only be done in a few of cities.

May be I should allow the upgrading of ironclads in every coastal town without alimited virtual resource.

What about require a Dockyard instead of the Virtual resource.

Or let the ironclads upgrade to WWI Light Cruisers and have coastal defense ships only produced by the Capital ship yard

Yes, there are many options, but in my eyes none of them are much more convincing than the current setting.
