I'll take the professional medical opinion of the Scottish doctors that confirmed his terminal cancer and gave him a few months to live thanks. Keep fishing.

Well, Mise...looks like your boy beat the 3 months to live sentence.

Oh, and this just out today in addition:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,580666,00.html

The Lockerbie bomber had £1.8m ($2.9 million USD) in a Swiss bank account when he was convicted eight years ago, it has been revealed.

The Crown Office, Scotland’s equivalent of the Crown Prosecution Service, has confirmed it refused to grant bail to Abdel Baset al-Megrahi as recently as November last year because of concerns he might try to gain access to the money.

The existence of such a large sum in a personal account casts doubt on claims by the Libyan government that Megrahi was a low-ranking airline worker.

The disclosure also raises further questions about the wisdom of the Scottish government in releasing the bomber, who has terminal prostate cancer, on compassionate grounds in August.

Sources close to Megrahi’s defense team said they were aware of the bank account and had several explanations prepared ahead of his trial in the Netherlands in 2000.

Also there have been calls to return him to prison: http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/...omber-back-in-scottish-prison?page=2#comments

Seems that he did pretty good with his chemotherapy there in Libya and has returned home from the hospital!

This just out too: http://news.scotsman.com/politics/Report-to-slate-MacAskill-over.5894531.jp

They will also criticise him for the flimsiness of the medical evidence. Only the prison doctor was willing to state Megrahi would die in three months while four cancer specialists refused to back that opinion up.

Uh oh. Perhaps this guy wasnt quite as 'terminal' as was thought eh? Mise, you may want to change that 'doctors' in your post I quoted to a singular, not plural form since this seems to indicate 'doctors' would be incorrect.

Eh, I'll admit to being a Fox News Whiner. But it's not like I don't have good reason to be. :p

Would you prefer it if I said 'Sunday Times bias Exhibit A'?

Besides, where the original quote was sourced from does not change the fact that it was presented and hence endorsed by Fox. So just because they didn't originally write it doesn't mean it isn't evidence of their bias.

Oh boy, MobBoss, you just can't help humiliating yourself!

Bomber's condition 'deteriorates'

The condition of the terminally ill Lockerbie bomber has deteriorated, it has been confirmed.

Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi, 57, who was jailed for life for the 1988 bombing, was released from a Scottish prison in August on compassionate grounds.

The Tripoli Medical Centre in Libya said a scan has shown that the prostate cancer from which Megrahi is suffering has spread throughout his body.

When he was repatriated he was believed to have a three-month life expectancy.

The hospital said that Megrahi arrived there on Saturday coughing and vomiting, and he is said to be suffering from the secondary effects of chemotherapy sessions.

International outrage

The bulletin said: "A scan has shown a worsening of the disease which has spread more than before."

The Libyan is the only man convicted of the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie 21 years ago.

He was convicted of the bombing in 2001, after a trial at a specially-convened court in the Netherlands.

Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill decided to free Megrahi from Greenock Prison on 20 August.

His early release was met with anger by some American relatives of the victims, many of whom were students at Syracuse University in New York.

The scenes which greeted the bomber on his return to Tripoli, where Scottish flags were waved, also caused outrage.

Keep fishing

Why would he; there were 4 doctors involved. I should know, I read the Compassionate Release governmental report.

I will simply point out Mise thats the same thing we heard about him when he got to Libya. They made it sound like he only had days to live then too, remember?

You initially said you believed the doctor that said he wouldnt live another 3 months. Well, he blew through that estimate.

So whats your next one? Presidents day? 6 months? a year? 5 years?

By all means fill us in so I can keep brining this thread up when your shown to be wrong.

Apparently only 1 said he only had 3 months to live. At least according to the news stories I linked.

Not long.

You've NEVER heard of a photo-op? Really??

It's amazing how one photo from the right people can prove ANYTHING to some people.

The guy is sleeping with an oxygen mask. Big freaking deal! I know people who have slept with oxygen for over 5 years and they are still fine.

Yeah, Mise put that up long ago saying that was evidence the poor slob only had days to live.

I if post a pic of me sleeping with an oxygen mask, will you people send me donations?

Where did I say that he only had days to live  Keep trying, one day you'll eventually say something that's actually true

If you hadn't been paying attention, the cancer has spread to the rest of his body. How long before he's back on his feet and bombing more aeroplanes, MobBoss?

Backtracking now Mise? Remember, by your own estimates he should have been dead and buried some time back.

And as to that 'cancer has spread to the rest of his body' thing. Is this another Irish doctor saying that or someone cleared to say that by Moomar? I guess you vouch for the Libyan hospital press release in this instance then?

Backtracking? Show me where I said he had days to live, or just admit that you're lying.

Rofl, its precisely what you were insinuating when you posted that pathetic pic of him in the hospital. You also said you believed the doc that gave him only 3 months to live.

Do you deny this is going to be embarassing to Ireland should he not be quite as 'terminal' as they thought?

Ireland???

Looks like he's going to make it to burning of the clavie at least anyway.

EDIT: Rupert Murdoch owns The Times too.

I never once said that he had days to live. Not once. Having to lie because you've run out of real arguments? Pathetic

Apparently, watching Hose on TV means that you are qualified to give prognoses and to be a bastard to sick people, cos, well, it's not lupus.

No, all 4 docs agreed on compassionate release.
The Docs never said that he had "3 months to live", as there is no actual rule governing compassionate releases, but they insinuated heavily that his prognosis was not good, and he would likely die before that period.

However, I'm very disappointed that you, as a religious man, aren't joyed by this christmastime miracle, wherein a man is forgiven and is cured miraculously, and then redeems himself. Glory be to Allah.

How many of his victims have been resurected and reunited with ther families? Thats the only miracle that matters.
