LS Civilization Set

That's a non objective way. It shouldn't be objective though.

On less nostalgic subject, I have just found out that Ahmad Durrani was owning Koh-i-Noor. What a mayestic badass. /randomhistoricalnote

Finished off next guy, I should try some female leader for variety.

Hoooooly crap, this looks fantastic :D
So polite, thanks.

I understand why Firaxis put female leader wherever it reasonable (with the exception of Egypt*). Truely hard to find a valid option in many cases (imagine that every civ would have male/female option; quite a challenge). The great queens are mostly from Egypt, England and China. Anyway, I read about Running Eagle and Tomyris (both have article on "badass of the week"... hmm). I can't lie that they are the most interesting leaders (local chieftain/queen (?) of semi-barbaric tribe I had no idea about before), but leaderscenes might be fun (especially the one with 4 eyes :)). I have also found Tamar of Georgia as possibility.

*Somebody might mention Indira Gandhi, but I don't. :)

There's also Teuta of Illyria who's a recurring modded leader. Tamar would be a great choice and I'd love seeing what you'd do with her! She's been made by DJSHenninger, though.

And of course there's Ranavalona from Madagascar who has been mentioned like a hundred times in this forum and Janequeo from the Mapuche, but if the Mapuche are obscure already, Janequeo is like, uh...

I can't actually find anything about Janequeo in the one and the only language of internets (nor in peasant english dialect). Rabodoandrianampoinimerina, I don't know - maybe tomorrow I read about her great achievements. Acquiring knowledge about Illyria is also delayed for now.

Humm, so I had this concept. Tipi interior (something new for me), Running Eagle sits in front of firecamp (tipi is small construction -> little distance -> bigger leader; so something different than Ashoka) and I am gonna play with shadows. Obviously, it was all about if google prepared some nice stuff for me to work with. :P

In game, it looks a bit better (full screen).

So, I probably try Cyrus's head in weekend.

Both of the new scenes look great! Your work, both artistically and code/Civ behavior, has been getting better and better with each release. Thanks for sharing these great leaders!

That's pretty creative, I actually like it, it's quite the nice concept too!

As for Janequeo:
In 1589 a woman,
widow of a former chief, resolved to avenge her husband's
death, and assumed the leadership of the Puelche tribe. She
carried on a galling guerilla warfare, and was careful to kill
ever}'- Spanish prisoner who fell into her hands. Janequeo
was the name of this heroine, the Boadicea of Chili. An
army was sent after her into the mountains, but was beaten
back. She attacked the fortress of Puchanqui, defeated part
of the garrison, and killed their commander. Making a
stronghold among the mountains near Villarica, she terror-
ized the inhabitants of that settlement. Finally a powerful
Spanish force was dispatched to oust her from her fastnesses
at any cost; and after inflicting great losses upon her ene-
mies, the valiant lady was compelled to withdraw into still
remoter regions. But she enjoyed the satisfaction of having
amply avenged her husband; and meanwhile there were
other chiefs to carry on the good work.
As I said, saying she was obscure was kind of an understatement. She's kind of a big deal when you're studying mapuche military history of course, but well, you know, who the hell studies that? :mischief:

You're welcome. :)

@Hoop
You know what, I can actually made "special" set including 3 female leaders leading Civilizations/Nations I am not so comfort to see in game. I could even delay release to 8th of the March.

Running Eagle is in (because I actually like the leaderscene very much and gonna polish it further :D). Since you proposed her, I think you obligated to come up with uniques and info help. ^^

I can make Janequeo as well. Leading Mapuche or Araucanía? After the lecture, I would probably come up with uniques easily, but I am gonna generously give you this privilege, because you are much more familiar with the subject.

Third slot will remain empty for now though I am leaning toward Tamar of Georgia.

Ahh... why can't other female leaders into civ?

A potential Massagetae if you're interested?

Massagetae
Tomyris
The Great. For each unit killed by an enemy civilization, your units receive +5% combat bonus against that civilization. Recieve Golden Age points for killing enemy Great People.
Colours - Forest Green and Bone White
Unique Unit: Armored Horseman. Replaces Horseman. Cost: 75. Combat: 16. Movement: 4.
Unique Building: Chanach. Replaces Granary. Cost: 60. Maintenance: 1. Also adds +2 Happiness.
Starting Bias: Plains Hills with River
Region: Central Asia

Uh, to be honest, I'm not very familiarized with the story of Running Eagle, however she's a Blackfoot, so I'd probably could draw some ideas from what had been discussed in, ahem, another thread in this subforum. :shifty:

Running Eagle - The Niitsitapi

UA: War Party: Cavalry units trained in cities founded on open terrain gain the "Town Destroyer" Promotion, negating their combat penalty against cities.
UU: Coup Rider: Replaces Lancer. Can Fortify on enemy Bonus or Strategic Resources to claim them for your empire. After some turns, the resource will be moved to your closest city.
UB: Corral. Replaces Stable. +1 Production for every Bonus and Strategic Resource on the city. +15% Production Towards Cavalry units and they start with +15 Experience.

As I said though, you'd probably be able to come up with something better.

As for Janequeo...

Mapuche could be fine but it'd conflict with Leugi's Mapuche, Araucanians technically works though it's archaic and vaguely offensive, Huilliche is the most accurate.

UA: Pruloncon: No Unhappiness from cities being razed. Double all yields of cities being razed.

~ or

No Unhappiness from cities being razed. Working city ruins provides +5 Culture/Faith/Production/Golden Age Points/ A combination of the former.

UU: Waikilaf: Replaces Pikeman. Reduces damage taken from ranged attacks for surrounding units and increases attacks againt fortified units and cities. Earns Experience points while stationed in a city being razed.
UU: Mawidanche: Replaces Longswordsman. Ignores Enemy zone of Control, doesn't have movement penalty in forests and is stealthed from enemies when there.

The skull headdress looks completely out of place to me. Is it based on something? A bison-based headdress for the Blackfoot would look more like this. It's a bit atypical for a woman to wear one, but Running Eagle was an atypical woman.
