LS Civilization Set

After half year break, I played some games. At first on Immortal, well I won, but I couldn't goof around. That's why I decided to goof around on easy-mperor mode. I wanted to add detailed commentary and stuff (but who has time). Humm, I made some albums, but some images failed to upload and without text they lack the story. I was testing my version of Quiet Diplomacy (plan to extend on more aspects ~ option to decline any trade offer and shortly describe it in notification/ instant spy forgiving, etc).

Game I
Game II - the most interesting one (imho)
Game III

I play 22, fractal, huge, standard, ancient games. The most game changing mods are less warmonger penalty and wonder providing free Obsevatory and +10% Scientist power (can be build anywhere).
Special mention of Japan and Jerusalem, present in all free games.

I have also first contact with Mapuche, Niitsitapi, Franks, Maurya and Sumer. Mapuche build Great Wall twice and was dominant power in third game.

Well, I have updated sets 7 and 14 with fixes after those game. Single lines are important. :crazyeye:

Guess who got "Gain one extra source of every imported resource." ability?

You've reminded me something I had forgotten: more civs = more fun
That turn 67 DoW from the Goths in game two looked terrifying! Was it close?

Guess who got "Gain one extra source of every imported resource." ability?
No idea, but they are going to be OP as ****!

Nah, seriously I was preparing myself to conquer them and had 5 units (4 composites). However, it took me 50 turns (needed +1 range promo) to capture gothic capital. They were smartly defending to be honest, keeping 3 units behind the city.
In general, I was caught by China: let's go x-bow warring. Chu Ko Nu are good only for swarming (aka you develop until machinery, then start building them - notice that map wasn't the best, because I was isolated). I went for composite early expansion, which left me with 14 Ranged Strength x-bows (most of them would have double-attack right after the upgrade anyway...). I had some nice Frigate follow up though.

Two of brave Chu Ko Nu were lost on Murcia landing (AI properly bought Castle and Frigate right after my landing; in some areas it is actually capable), the other two ended game as bazookas, but never returned to homeland :< (defending Madrid against bad Assyrians).
I had a peak of 10 Capitals controlled. I find it impossible to win domination on 22 civs (too much clicking, it is simply stressful).

Anyway, playing always suggests possible improvements. I had nerf to Tatars planned, Olmec AI help and must fix Cherokee (set VII will receive general polish to not got back to it for some time).

Yesterday, I went for Cultural Victory (after Israeli failed attempt); the most game-changing was bribing Poland to leave Zimbabwe (I had spy in it + I like the policy of keeping balance and Poland was quite ahead). And then... Zimbabwe stole my Sistine Chapel by one turn. Unleashed dogs of war, half the world obviously DoWed me and I was humililated by Suleiman. He disrespected me in weird manner.

OP. OP. OP. Is it steam or just a fantasy. I have math and firaxis civs behind my balance. :crazyeye: This will be non-marsh Flanders once I came up with UB.

100 points if somebody can guess who is he:

First king of Poland. Yaa, it will be rather something just for me if I find motivation to do it. Recent game against two Polands makes me think "why not 22?". Between turns I am working on leader scenes (this one is for 5 points, because too many hints):

I am playing as Qin right now, reunited China with Great Wall and desert folklore too easy. Infantry will be nerfed, but ability will be linked to promotion that is gonna pass on upgrade. Actually I like that I can conquer some cities just with melee army (+siege units later). AI obviously doesn't know how to react, because I managed to conquer Great Wall city, just by standing out of city-attack range, sniping enemy units and waiting for ability to kicks in. I think that UA will get new condition (city must be under 80% HP, check is after heal).
At last, I am gonna make UB a library (don't like both unique in same tech).

The horse is not from AoE.

Wanted to thank you for the melee to ranged promotions mod.
I think it was yours. Made my games so much better.
(also, a very nice leader scene)
:)

In this case, Bathory must get new one. Single glove will have more layers than fatso.

It shall be:
Boleslaw I
Boleslaw the Wrymouth (I would like to make him, but finding uniques might be an issue)
Casimir (current traits, maybe UU will be tweaked a bit)
Bathory (Hussars replaced with Chosen Infantry [musketman])
"Fatso" Sobieski (I think the whole civ will be based on Hussars warfare)

Btw, Firaxis advertising Beyond Earth in Civ 5 is shameless.

So basically you're going to make loads and loads of Poland civs to be able to compete with the Russias and Persias? :crazyeye:

Rather to play against them. Or more precisely, because I kinda like playing in photoshop and once I have leaderscene, it would be a waste to not use it.

Though I don't think I understand your comment, some kind of private joke here?

There are just many Persia's and Russias. Made by variety of modders.

Well, not that many Persias, but a lot of Russias and Englands.

Well... Medes, Achaemenids (Twice with LITE's planned split), Parthia, Sassanids (One by DJSHenninger, another unreleased by Regalman), Samanids, Safavids, Afsharids and Modern Iran (Unreleased by Superwaffle)

Not sure if counts: Seljuks and my unreleased Ilkhanate

Lotsa Persias.

Russias by the same modder, which is more comparable to what LastSword plans to do with Poland. But where on earth is Augustus the Strong :o
