We are working on a peace for all nations involved, minus Japan, and will present it to Prussia when ready, if not accepted the state of war continues

I figured that may have been it, but I wanted to clear it up mainly because you posted it right after the map was posted by Captain2.

France thanks the Kingdom of Italy for its speedy response.

Our peace terms are very fair. You threatened to invade me and France, and we are mad. So we declared war on you, and you will sign the peace treaty or be destroyed.

Yours was PITIFULLY UNFAIR.

The Prussian Union will not accept an unfair treaty, nor will it accept one that does not include the Empire of Japan. If need be, we will, as we have stated, fight for every inch of Prussian ground and will not allow any of its usefulness to be transfered to any other nation.

However, as we have since almost two years ago, we still wish for peace. You, on the other hand, continue to bring in more nations and their armies, ruining the lives of thousands upon thousands of people. We may have started the war, but it is your fault and your fault alone that so many people are now embroiled within it.

Japan has been a good and influential ally to the Prussia Union, and we refuse any peace that treats them unfairly just as you refused one that treated Hungary unfairly. Your allies at the moment in the United Kingdom and America are little better than Japan in the objective eye; they refuse to fight in the main war and instead take scraps in the hope of expanding their territory while others are away. There is little difference between their actions and the actions of Japan, and if you must insist on treating Japan unfairly, we must insist on treating America and the United Kingdom unfairly.

All said and done, here are our terms for peace with every nation involved:

1) Fighting will cease between the Prussian Union and the Empire of Russia, as well as all of their allies.

2) Borders in Europe will be restored to their prewar positions, with the exception of Finland and Romania; one has signed a separate peace and the other is to be dealt with as Russia sees fit.

3) All territories in Africa held by the Prussian Union will be dealt with as Russia sees fit.

4) The Empire of Japan will return territory taken from the United Kingdom, France, and America, excluding the Chinese treaty ports, to which they have the right of the victor to hold.

5) The Prussian Union is to limit its military spending to 2 IC per turn and pay reparations to the Empire of Russia equivalent to the amount of 50 IC, payable over the next 10 years.

We have never even hinted at invading America or France, and any belief to the contrary is a blatant lie, plain and simple. We will not have lies dictating to us the terms of peace.

As to the fairness of our proposed treaty with Russia, it was as fair as a treaty can get. We took no territory for ourselves from Russia, agreed to spare their allies in Sweden, and did not ask for anything else in return. If you call that unfair, we can't wait to see your peace terms; perhaps Russia will cede territory to the Prussian Union and pay it war reparations?

OOC: Seriously, I have never threatened or even joked about invading America or France.

We have as of now, officially withdrawn our embassies from Romania and Bulgaria, until a later date.

We have also decided to keep foreign bank accounts open, but have begun to consider withdrawal of gold in case of raids on one country's banks by another belligerent.

We may also consider the selling of all stocks and cashing in of all corporate bonds as insurance.

OOC: Captain2, you do know if I withdraw gold from America's reserves that it might screw up their banks, correct? :p

EDIT: Pretty fair peace treaty.

OOC: perhaps but the impact on the Swiss would be far worse if a few of the powers did likewise :p

The allies shall make their own treaty and introduce it when it is agreed upon, please wait until then

Until Mexico sees proof that US interests were under threat, and it's declaration of war more than an opportunistic land-grab, it will be uneasy about entering into any alliance with the United States in the near future, as was debated within the Mexican Congress a short-time ago.

Why have you taken out your embassies in Romania? We have made peace with Russia and the United States and are making peace with Bulgaria and Hungary. And, on top of that, we are staying out of the fighting in the Prussian War. I am confused as why you have removed embassies from a nation whom, I believe, doesn't deserve to have its ties with Switzerland severed.

Captain2: Ummm... I'm pretty sure that the Swiss gold would offset that, plus, I'm not sure if there even was a lot of foreign gold in Switzerland. And besides, I could buy it up. :p

EDIT:

Sorry Romania, we didn't see that. We have formally begun to repack the embassy to Romania.

OOC: not just gold but swiss bank accounts, the exchange would be ruined

We will not be willing to accept much deviation from our proposal. We may be willing to give up one, or possibly two, of the Baltic states. Beyond that, Finland, and Romania, the borders in Europe will be prewar or the war will continue, and Russian people and Prussian people alike will suffer for it.

The other portions, such as reparations and limits on military spending are also changeable, but we will not accept any unfair treatment of the Prussian Union or her people.

If we are going to have peace, while it may be on your terms, it will be fair to the Prussian Union considering the current circumstances. If we do not consider it fair, every inch of Prussian soil will burn and be fertilized with blood, and the conquerers will find no benefit in their new acquisitions.

You did. You tried to get someone to invade me in exchange for an alliance. And you called us threats.

OOC: I have never called France nor America threats, nor have I ever discussed an alliance in which an invasion of America was one of the stipulations. You are either being lied to or are a liar yourself, as the possibility of a misunderstanding becomes very small when you are so sure of your position.

Many thanks. May our new government have nothing but good relations with you.

OOC: That would easily be offset, with the threat that the enemy of the nation who withdraws from our bank accounts get more favorable economic favors. :p

Although that would seem to make us lean towards another side. :p

Plus, we could convince neutral nations just to deposit a lot more and they will have favors in return.

OOC: Great Update, Lucky.

We have begun to consider major economic decisions if this war does not end in a peaceful agreement within the next three years.

This may include the withdrawl of Swiss gold from belligerent countries, withdrawl of investments, major trading within the stock market, and stronger diplomatic relations with the more peaceful side.

We are also withdrawing our embassies from Eastern Europe, with the exception of the Hellenic Republic.

Finally, we will be considering to sever ties with Prussia, Russia, France, and possibly England and the United States if they join this war.

lurker's comment: Exceptionally unrealistic for the Swiss. Neutrality, yes, but not isolationism.

BY YOU.

OOC: Well, it helps force nations into peace. And its not exactly isolation if I just transfer funds from belligerents to neutrals, claim its too risky, and then just transfer them back after peace breaks out.

Plus, it would be fun to screw around with world economics.
