Update 1: 1906
Europe:
In Iberia the Madrid Consejo continues its fight for victory. With various operations proving successful the unorganized and ever failing fight provided by the guerrilla warriors throughout are causing massive morale boosts among Madrid troops. Increasing rumors of French and British support for these guerilla fighters to stop the Consejo’s spread have only proven a perfect propaganda tool for the socialists, as defeat of the resistance is growing near. Another year of hard fighting has never the less taken a toll on the men and occasionally women of the Consejo.
Madrid Consejo: -6 Infantry Divisions, +4 Militia Divisions
A series of trade agreements, obvious attempts to gain a economic foothold against the French in Europe, put forth by the Prussian Union have taken hold in Sweden and in a similar fashion Sweden spread to Denmark similar agreements. Though not linked as a whole chain it has gained a noticeable boost in exports between the three.
In Denmark and Sweden take it to the next level with a research development fund between themselves. Holding them neutral and at the same time capable of keeping in the race with other countries. Both launch their first wings of light aircraft during the summer as a show of innovation.

In central Europe the Kingdom of Bavaria along with Austria and Switzerland sign a treaty forming the defensive alliance known as the Alpener Bund (Alpine League) in an effort to secure themselves from outside threats such as the French Empire. The Bavarian people rejoice at the good news of such a groundbreaking alliance. Breaking the habit of Europe before with a solid block of smaller nations defying the odds.

In an effort to boost productivity among the people in Switzerland a football (soccer) league is formed. Although in its early stages and tiny in comparison to the British teams they have adopted the rules and hope to make Switzerland a healthy and sport and activity driven environment for the workers of tomorrow.
The French and British continue a steady arms race but 1906 is a slow year with little in the way of construction or research by either side.
The Balkans remain silent with the exception of the Hellenic Republics venture into naval research to attempt to build a ship similar to the Goliath of the British. Efforts have been slow as the resources and funding is very limited.
In Russia increased spending on the military and research into more expensive technologies such as aircraft is not sitting well with the poverty stricken working class. A series of protests outside factories and in the city of Moscow and surrounding major population centers has brought alarm to Nicholas II, he makes no efforts to change his resources over to public spending.
Russia: +5% Dissent
Americas:
With the recent developments of Britain in military technology the United States begins a reform of the spending and adjusts to allow more spending on the military. Not touching the public sectors but shifting from big corporations which is seen as a good thing to the southern states and opposed in the north. The over all view of things is that it is a good move.
Quebec has a rather slow but internally swell year. New public school funding has increased the number of courses most schools can deliver and widen the amount of information given to the children.
Quebec: -1% Dissent
Mexico strikes a deal with Nicaragua to build a canal to compete with the Panama canal of the Americans. This move is seen as a threat to US trade but there is really nothing that can be done about it. The project is expected to be completed in a by 1910 but complications may push it back more. Along with spending to on the starting of the canal the Mexican government begins a program to mass produce tractor equipment and lower the price so that agricultural efficiency goes up. The plan begins to pay off with significantly larger harvests of useable fruits and vegetables. It is expected to continue to boost the food production in Mexico over the next several years.
Mexico: +1 Private Enterprise
In South America the Dominion of the Plate with aid from British engineers completes its first Goliath Battleship, the Prince Albert.
In cooperation with La Plate, Peru is now in a trade agreement and is looking for a better future for her people. The government is showing strong defense organizing and various building projects in the country are the way to go. Coincidentally a movement in the coastal region of Ecuador seems linked to the Peruvian governments plans. Nothing beyond protests and need for change have occurred so far. Merely people crying out for change.
Asia/Africa:
In the Dominion of South Africa a change is underway. The liberal party, who currently control the government are following through on the lowering of the military budget. A move that has gained much support as the country is able to afford more for building infrastructure and industry. A surely large step in a brighter African future.
Vietnam, trying to gain a leap forward and catch up to or be prepared for the coming machine age as some would call it. Begins researching, along with specimens taken from ports legally, the ways of improving the combustion engine. Research is heavily under funded and will probably take much longer than expected.
Japan begins a large scale and sometime forceful seizure of rights for mines and other manufacturing opportunities in Manchu and Vietnam. This has brought a great deal of resources to Japan already and will continue to do this.
Qing China is a mess, increasing opium smuggling and with various political leaders and generals wanting power it will only get worse over time. For 1906 the government keeps control but the Chinese are slowly moving towards an inevitable collapse.
In the Dominion of Australiasia a vast immigration program has begun. With cheaper or free land plots in various territories to people in Europe and Asia. Mainly aiming at those fleeing Spain, even offering them aid when they arrive. To go with this a project to build a large national railroad system has begun and will be completed ,or estimated so, in a couple year.
------------
Crap I missed Australasia. Give me a minute. I was messed up when the site dropped down for a while.
I will have stats up later. This is the size or average size of the updates I plan for an average peaceful year so don't complain.
I will be expanding the technology list tonight so people have more things to research and so on.
Map coming in a minute don't post.
