So many reasons, to begin with and possibly the most biggest and important reason, your stance with the Italians. But to put it simply we just do not like you.


Please note that it is not you in person, but your nation. France hates Greece, not germanicus12 hates sp1023.

OOC: My guess would be the second. The Hellenic Republic's overtures of trade with Italy would be seen as an attempt to win a valuable ally over to the side of the Prussian Union, which is something the Prussian Union would not attempt to do, as it would incur the wrath of the French; the actions of the Hellenic Republic are, therefore, something that France did not take a liking to. My guess, of course. Feel free to correct me, Germanicus.
 
Actually Fuschia is right on the target.

In case you didn't know sp1023, but Italy is a French puppet and getting them friendly to a nation that is at war with another nation that France is either neutral or opposed to is not generally a good idea. For reasons completely different.

I am sure you do not want to see your nice little country in flames. ;) Not that it will be, just making a point.

Well if you want to trade with Italy, it is probably best to start with France then work your way down to Italy. So France doesn't feel threatened.

Even though you dont care, it still provides my people with some security, that the Mighty French Empire wont slaughter us.

We only ask that you do not attack us for 10 turns. Is that agreeable? A trade would make my people happy, for we wish to prosper and not stay a poor and pathetic nation.
 
If anyone still needs to send orders, a few of you do. Do it tonight. There may be a delay of the update until tomorrow. Which will only be 7 days after the previous one. :p

OOC: sp1023, you DO know that nations have in the past broken treaties correct?

For example, the Soviets and Nazis signed a non-aggression pact in 1938 pledging they wouldn't attack eachother. Three years later, the Nazis invaded the Soviet Union.

There are many other examples, but I'm too bothered to list others. :p

@Lucky: I'm not sure if I sent orders, but I think I did. Just clarify.
