Actually, your "colony" in China taken by Japan (Tsingtao) is mine. Compare the colors/change contrast on the original map, you'll see Tsingtao is a very dark blue, my color.

Why is America in China and France is not, historically America never went to China and I doubt the American player sent or negotiated several cities from China in the NES. These are French and even Wiki supports this.
