I haven't been too terribly active here for a long time, but I'm slowly coming back around. Maybe I should post in the strategy forums for once, there's always neat stuff being discussed there.
By the way, as long as we're setting titles for ourselves, I would henceforth like to be known as "Jabarto, Lord Protector of the Free People's Democratic Federation of Civ Fanatics".

Well, I'm trying it this weekend, assuming I have some time away from the new "friend" in my life.I wish it was cleverness on my part, but back before I discovered unaltered gameplay mods & components(to the
and others who have labored on such things), I grew frustrated with the number of civs I had to keep track of, and how much space they took on the screen. So I tried reducing it. Experimented.
I found that one extra starting space somewhere made the game more fun for me, and I've usually kept to that ever since.
I've waited, I've pined away. Lost I was. Oh woe is me I said...

Welcome to You all !! First of all You need to choose whether You'll join the light side or the dark side. It is an well estamblished fact that the dark side have cookies but the light side can offer You "Master Yoda" shaped jelly bears !! So choose carefully ! ^^
Um... CoCo I was thinking .... since it's the election time maybe I can at least be the President of the United States ? .... I do have a solid program to "tank roll" help the less fortunate countries in the name of freedom, democracy and Standard Oil Company ^^ And of course I will bring justice and security to my new empire haha!

Hi and thanks for the warm welcomes and thread =).
I was a big fan of the Civ series as a teenager and then lost out on civ3 and 4 as life happened, i however allways wanted to get back to it and when Civ5 came out i jumped back in, i however felt disgusted at so many elements of the game, and for a while wondered if maybe the memories i had of civ were scewed and i had maybe just been so immature not to notice the flaws back then... thank god i started reading up and found out that the real civ game to play is 4. now i´m back on the Civ train and LOVING it, however am just getting to know the game again and looking forward to nights of civ and hearing from you guys.. btw any good "age of discovery" mods out there you´d reccomend over the others? thnx =)
