Mad Scientists Nest generation RPC Summary/Bullpen

Couple of ideas for a future RPC:
-Select Future Tech as your research path on turn 1.
-Do a game without researching one of the six starter techs ever.

Now that one I like, future tech from turn #1!

Not sure but I think I did no fishing in the Hannibal Classic RPC.

I would like to see a game with everyone locked in war and with raging barbs on a pangea map with you at the middle of the landmass.

Tried this a few times, always war does not translate into a good RPC.

How about a Kemal Ataturk game?

Ottomans, leader is Charismatic and Organized (built the modern Turkish state, after all).

Cannot adopt a state religion or any religious civic other than Paganism or Universal Suffrage, must adopt Nationalism when discovered (beeline?), cannot use Hereditary Rule? Must refuse any demand from a Theocracy?

The Future Tech from turn one seems interesting. Would tech trades still be allowed though?

You've allways done interesting Role Play Challenges. The First, and favourite one that i read was the John Luc Picard one in Australia.

I hope you have fun with the new Jefferson one even if i don't post that often and just lurk while reading it.

How about a "Must...Declare...War" played as Shaka, in the way, that you have to DOW your nearest neighbor, UNLESS already at war with someone else ?
So, after the initial scouting, you essentially is at war the rest of the game, true Shaka style, no ?

What about...

You must win a conquest victory (vassals are enabled?)

You must always (if possible of course) be in Police State, Nationhood, Slavery, State Property, and Theocracy (perhaps beelining these techs?)

You may only build military buildings, production buildings, and Monuments (yes, that will lead to unhappiness and unhealthiness, perhaps you may only build a Coal Plant and not a Hydro Plant or those others?)

The same as above applies to wonders (Iron Works and Pentagon are allowed, but the Pyramids for example isn't, great people may still build their special buildings though)

That probably will be a hard enough game for you...

as far as i remember it, it was a game where you didn't have a single coastal city

Yeah, the deal with the devil. He had no water instead of no fishing.

One idea is, that you must tech all the techs from current era, in order to move onto next era.
(All ancient era techs are needed, before moving onto classical era and so forth).

Maybe after the 1turn future tech game?

Also great to see you doing these BtS RPCs, keep up the good work. Really missed those.

If you want to do another American RPC, you could do one with Sarah Palin- make your capitol in Alaska on the Earth Map along with some other crazy rules (She has to move her capitol so she can see Russia from her house?). It's a little insane but probably would be fun.

Come now, let's not get that idiotic!

Actually the next RPC is likely an earth-map game with Askia as Mansa. Undecided if I want to opt for the 18 or 34 leader game though.

How about "The Parthian Feudal System" get as many Vassals as pausible!

Play as the Byzantine to get the Cataphracts

Horse Archers is a must have!

primary victory conditions:
Conquest
Domination
Cultural

Rules: optional

How about a challenge with "Every city needs a big man to rule". You can only found/conquer a new city when you have a GP. This GP has to be settled in the city you are going to found/conquer, sort of as a major. Make it unrestricted and get a PHI/IND leader. Broken combo but with this drawback it will be balanced. Maybe something like Augustus of Rome. Forum will help combined with parthenon/pacifism.

Winning Condition: Must win by domination.

So many choices and so many games! And I thought things would get dull after the Classic 52.

For the next RPC we will have a visitor from Civ V. Askia on Songhai has agreed to come to west Africa on an earth map, supplant the tech-whore Mansa, and strike out to conquer the world.

I think 34 earth map leaders will suffice (I don't think I did an earth-34 map yet) and perhaps we should emphasis Military at all costs, as well as establish rules to always be warring with someone. I think I can get some economic techs (pottery, writing, currency, CoL) but all pthes should be for war. Civics are those of the warrior.

Victory, not sure if DOmination should be allowed or if I got for just Conquest. Vassals can be discussed.

Any more input here???

34 leader maps are annoying, the loadings times are just too long for me to enjoy.

My computer seams to handle it well and it should not affect screenshots.

My save is somewhat awkwards as I always start with 2 warriors and a worker. I will likely play at emperor and delete the extra warrior and worker. I know I can change the save file but I screw those up more than help.

That was done with the Julius original RPC
