The basic premise of the game was survival at all costs. Now to do that was quite a challenge.

Some had abilities, but most did not. In most mafia games most people don't have a role to do besides trying to survive and get rid of the bad guys. The thing that is different in my game is that you just had to survive at all costs, otherwise you lose the game. As you saw by what happened not many shopkeepers survived, since it was quite tough. Those who did not survive are definitely town since they did not get their objective done. Those who survived with the mafia can be classified as mafia, if you feel that is the best way to do it, since that is how they dealt with. So in a way most of the town could choose their destiny, the vast majority in this game treated the game as a simple town vs mafia vs mafia game.

Well the winning team was the team that survived and the winning team was a a mafia team, so that means those who survived had to survive under the protection of the mafia, so that means to survive you had to be mafia and to survive was the ultimate goal of the game.
Alright, after much confusion, a month of waiting, and no real solution, my final ruling on Gangland Wars: Counts as a game, for the Mafia Victory/Hosting/Whatever statistics, but doesn't count for individual statistics, because I can't figure out a way to make it work for individual statistics.
Next up is The Dark Knight Begins, which is much easier for me to do. Assuming I can count the Arrested players as Dead (they were basically dead, aside from whether or not they could still post):
