Wow, there's a lot of stuff missing from the custom install options. I miss no storm :cry:

Check RoMSettings tab of BUG Option Screen :). There is an option to turn on "No Storms".

Thanks for all this Afforess, between your A New Dawn and Rise of Mankind, I now have quality of life playing Civ4bts again. Keep up the great work. :goodjob:
 
Sometimes when I start a scenario, randomly I get a tech advisor screen, when I hit exit, I have no interface. Sometimes the scenarios load fine and sometimes they don't. I haven't tried the default scenarios yet, just a heads up, this is with the latest release today.

I did a fresh install. I will try regular scenaros and see how they work.

Enable logging (see Zappara's bug report thread on how), and upload your Python folder next time it happens.
 
Must be me, I just loaded random scenarios from the mod about 20 times. Not a one gave any problems, so I will delete my scenario and make a new one for this version. I have been playing that scenario with my wife for a very long time, time to start a new.

EDIT: I hawill esnure logging is enabled in case other crazy things happen. Sorry, I like making and editing maps. This map was on version 13 I believe. :)
 
I have a small request to complement Advanced Diplomacy. At least I think it's small, given the white wizard's skills. It's about city trading. I see that city trading is too rare and difficult to achieve, so what I want is a revamp of the AI for it. In history, city exchanging and even selling was much more common that what we see in Civ IV.
 
have a little problem with the experience display of my units. due to the decimal point it no longer fits into the display: "30.00/..." that's all i see after i joined a GG into my javelineener.

Already noticed, it's already been fixed for patch A. I'll release it sometime tomorrow. I also noticed two separate bugs in GG xp counting, and one with unit XP gain. That and I've re-designed the AND settings page for MP.

yeah, just noticed that xp bug. in my new game there's already quite some fighting and my units don't gain xp most of the time. only form first combat it seems. makes the early game much more interesing for me as i have much more problems with my military and was just forced to build several new units due to several losses agians barbarians. furthermore i started now with a random civ and ended up with messinissa of carthago - so no helpful military leader traits.
 
A New Dawn 1.73 is out! It should address the stability problems that plagued 1.72, improve the AI, and add better documentation and customizability. Enjoy!

Yay! Thanks for posting it so quickly. HAND seems to work fine with AND as far as I can tell.

So what all did you take out besides the obvious stuff I merged into my new mod? I tried going though it all but its probably faster getting an answer from you.
 
Just FYI, Aff, do you ever played FFH Wild mana?
It has a wonderful GUI, that would fit with this wonderful modmod of a wonderful mod

I thought AND was going to be RoM's community expansion pack with stuff from everyone. Now its turn into "Afforess' selection". What happend to this ?

Really, you're taking this a little bit hard. I just mod the game to suit my own preferences.

Example: in my personal tweaks, the Fisherman's Hut has the same food bonus as it did before ROM 2.9, and I took away the Lighthouse's "one free commerce per sea tile" ability and replaced it with an extra trade route and I'm currently tweaking it so it gives a 1 or 2 commerce yield per seafood resource.

Afforess isn't hunting me down to make me stop that. I'm even using his "Balanced_CIV4BuildingInfos.xml" file for these particular changes. Muahahaha!!! :evil:

I think you're supposed to shout "JINX!" but that's pretty hard to do online. ;-)

I guess I could also scream in frustration because a new version came out and once again I just got about 600+ turns into my current 1.73beta1 game, but I finally broke down and ordered a new computer with more RAM and Win7 so it can use the RAM. I'll probably have to start over when the new computer arrives near the end of this month.
