Really, you're taking this a little bit hard. I just mod the game to suit my own preferences.

I was kinda pissed because I worked almost 3 days straight to merge 20 mods only to get it rejected and then had to un-merged them back again when making my own mod. Needless to say its takes a lot less time to un-merge them then it is to merge them.

Also Afforess has a knack for changing things without saying so and seeing if anyone can tell what he changed. This can be frustrating to track down since AND is HUGE and not everything is apparent in civilopedia.

For instance it took me until the medieval era to realize, hey the basket maker's hut is gone! Mainly because in the past he made it obsolete with pottery and I usually get pottery BEFORE basketry. However in HAND I not only put it back in but made it obsolete with guilds so it can actually get some use.

In short I am not really mad that I get to do my own mod separate from Afforess. However I am mad that he basically gave no warning beforehand. He could have at least gave me a PM saying so.
 
Wait hold on! Is my combo mod going to be included still? I would like it to be since self distribution means less people will use my mod. Please include my combo mod in AND even if its unchecked from the recommended content.

Personally, I think your Garbage Mod is the best thing you've ever come up with. The other thing I like second best is the domesticated animals. It's easy to see you've put a lot of time and effort into your modmods.
 
I saw the message "The difficulty has been increased", but the option "increasing difficulty" is not checked at custom game. Is that a bug or am I missing something ?

Use BUG Options, go to RoMSettings tab, then click off Flexible Difficulty there. FD is no longer available as a game option because it is in BUG Options screen :).

i guess you could just talk to Afforess that you wish to discuss any change to your contribution to AND mod so he doesn't change anything without notifing you. if you tell him that you maintain your mod components yourself and can fix balance problems on your own, he only needs to forward all related problems to you, he most probably won't alter any of your stuff anymore.

don't expect other people to handle things your way if you don't even tell them.

I had been PMing Afforess asking many times about when he would update. However he stayed silent to answer them.
 
Alright, Patch A is out. It fixes a possible CTD with Realistic Culture Spread, adds some new Icons by Vincentz, and fixes a bug with calculating Great General XP. It is save compatible, so no need to worry about losing your progress.

FAHK!!!! Just as my hacked Civ on my Mac crashes and burns horrifically, Afforess releases a new AND now I have to deal with a Pentium 4 [pissed]

Was there supposed to be something in the Afforess folder, mine was empty:confused: And nothing else in the Modules folder:confused:

Dates are meaningless. I've said this time and again. Global Warming occurs with lots of pollution.

Just do what i do in NWA, change the settings of GM to "Plains", it makes it alot better that way or you can change it to anything you want in the GlobalDefines file:

Also the AI have improved a great deal, but the worker must be getting dumber and dumber, he always moves right next to the barbarians even if the barbs dont move??

With my unit it with-drawled in a game, but then it moved one tile from where he was to a completely different tile??
