Dates are meaningless. I've said this time and again. Global Warming occurs with lots of pollution.

I've never, never (I play AND very often) seen that happening before 1.73. And there aren't lots of pollution. Dates couldn't be meaningless, you just can't have so much pollution at 1770 BC, without factory, chemistry, etc. If you still think that's "normal", could you at least tell me how I change it ?

I extracted the patch 1.73A to another folder

In Assets/Modules/Afforess - i don't see any files in the folder, why?

Mine too. Is there a problem with this patch Afforess?

No, you guys are doing it wrong. It installs a new dll, changes the version number (in-game, the flag shows 1.73A), and the new icons are installed if the user had Better RoM. Installing it outside of RoM will cause none of the new icons to install because it checks that you have the Better RoM folder.

I test patches. Don't doubt me.

Dates ARE meaningless.

That's called "quoting out of context".

I don't consider it normal, but your case isn't impossible. If you really want me to look at it, consider uploading some screenshots and saves. ;)

I'm not at home now, but I'll do that later. However, I'm not asking you to change your mod. You make it the way you want. Just don't tell me dates are meaningless, because it's impossible to have anything that justify global warming at 1770 BC. Poor sewer systems, wheelwright, that dont make the global temperature rises, that's ridiculous. I also never chop forests, only jungles.

Solar variation also didn't change too much in the last 4 thousand years.

From wikipedia:

Temperature is believed to have been relatively stable over the one or two thousand years before 1850.

That's not hard to understand. Factories and fossil fuel came after 1850, besides solar variation, that's what makes the temperature rises.

All I want is a way to change it because that's not only unrealistic, that's annoying. It's very hard to explain that in a foreign language, so, please, try to be more patient and receptive.

The wise Kael once said, "you are the only person who has to like what you have created. Don’t make the mod you think other people will want, don’t change a design based on outside feedback unless you agree with it. It is better to have an unpopular mod you enjoy than a popular one you don’t." Just my (or rather Kael's) 2 cents...

Chicken and egg question:
Who said their quote first, Kael (above) or Xienwolf (below)?

Ok if you and others are separately doing things now, who do you go with, for instance Vincent also has an icons in his newer stuff with some of the same ones you do? Like his Guilds and Corporations also??

ie also What if Hydro has some of the same things you are doing?

There has to be something/someone who is combining these, otherwise people will be disappointed with one, when that persons (well at least some of your/his stuff is better), get the point:crazyeye:

So? Pick which one you like better.

He can do that.

Quality will naturally rise to the top. I wouldn't be overly worried. ;)

Patch B is out!

Patch B includes Patch A's changes, so if you haven't updated to A yet, just use B.

Patch B Changes:

  • Fixed bug with XP gain in Dynamic XP
  • Fixed textual error were units with too much XP displayed incorrectly
  • Fixed pink city hover icons
  • Fixed Victory Screen bug

Enjoy!

Just how long does it take to fix bugs? I mean, for the love of god, you are insanely quick.

Depends on the bug. Most of the time, the problem is apparent, it just takes me testing out the patch to make sure everything works, and I didn't break things further.

Some bugs take ages to figure out.

200 and something years may seem too much to mankind, but for the Mother Earth is just a glimpse.

Actually, historically that was just around the corner for the mini-ice age that we suffered after the last time the Icelandic volcanoes had some indigestion. Right after the medieval warm period.

Wish an actual climate change mod existed. A "Mother Gaia is having a fit of pique and guess what, it's now warmer/colder, deal with it" sort of affair :D Would be fun to have to adapt when all your wineries have to be closed because it gets too cold, but you've now got better fur resources as all the furry critters migrate south to avoid the really cold stuff further up north. Then when you've got your economy going as the fur emporium of the word, things warm up again

When it gets cold, plains turn to tundra, tundra to ice, grassland to plains. With only a thin belt around the equator staying in grassland and jungle. Also, coast becomes bogs/wetlands, and ocean becomes coast.

Then, during a particularly warm period, you have the reverse, with some normally coastal land tiles becoming inundated (marsh? bog?), and you need to build a flood-control system in any cities on those tiles or lose them.

Alright, patch C is out. Two patches in one day. Either I love you guys a lot, or make a lot of mistakes. Pick one. ;)

(No need to have patches A or B, you can go straight from 1.73 to 1.73C).

Patch C Changes:

  • Fixed bug with XP gain when not using Dynamic XP
  • Fixed Culturally Linked Starts bug
