Main Download Information

i have been playing for a bit now, very interesting game and 45oo turns, damn thats long time :)

i have turned on most things, even barbarian xp, not sure its the reason, but attacking seems to yield no or few xp and defending yields normal or more.

have used the patch g...

should i like add it again, just to see if that works or are there a xp bug???

XP gain is formulaic, so you should be able to figure out XP gain before the battle even occurs. Attacking can yield, at most 6XP, where defending can yield at most 3XP. (NOTE: Civics may affect this). Attackers are at a slight disadvantage, yes, because attacking at 40% odds or worse is the only way to max out XP, whereas defenders who defend with 70% odds or worse get full XP.

No.

I don't think there are any more *real* bugs.

Plus, I've got some surprises coming down the pike for 1.74... ;)

What!!!

Haven't They ALL been Surprises!??

yeah make it into an exception rule on the antivirus software, if you using windows antivirus/firewall thing then just switch off and run the install. and then after the instal switch it back on :)

This is what I did, worked fine!

I'm only into the early game yet, but looking good so far and no problems!

afforess, i have a javellineer, with 561xp, i have what 99% or better chance to win a defensive fight vs the barbarians and he gets more then 0.25 per battle, as he gets new promotions quite fast, sounds like a bug, when attackers need to do tons of battles just to get 1 xp :)

on the other hand, i did not turn on the barbarian xp in this custom game, so why can my units from barbarians get more then 20 xp total???

I'd love to see screenshots and saves. ;)

Animals can give up to 20XP, Barbarians, 40XP.

well he now have over 600xp. will look at screen shots tomorrow and a save, if you want to see for mistakes :)

well my 600+xp warrior, thought it was a javellineer, is defending capital, all his xp came from barbarian attacks, warriors and javellineers, which sounds like a mistake? :)

Sorry, post removed. Wrong thread.

Patch H is out! Not a whole lot of changes, but essential for those having issues with 1.73G. My main focus has shifted to 1.74 development, but I will still patch any remaining issues, as they arise. Enjoy! ;)

Patch H Changes
  • Fixed Rare CTD's
  • Team Members can see other teammate's tech tree's
  • Fixed Late-Game Explorer Issues
  • Minor Code Efficiency Changes

  • Fixed Late-Game Explorer Issues

You mean the ones where we players described exploring units not going further than our own land? If yes, then congratulations and thanks!

What was the explorer issues? How about the worker now, just walking right infront of barbarian units rather than staying away from them?

I was not aware there was a problem with Workers and Barbarians.

Anyway, I re-uploaded Patch H. Please download and re-install if you downloaded it before the timestamp on this post.

New Patch bug, i continued a game i have been playing and now with patch H, the options no tech trading and no tech brokering is gone :(

well it seems the patch reset some BUG Mod options, so that you now could trade tech, but can in options turn it off again, very nice :)

Even worse, in my case, going from patch G to patch H, the whole civ console (I mean the buttons, the icons and everything around the screen) disappeared... cannot toggle it back.

Before that happened I got remarks on top of the screen like "BugOptions - failed creating INI file " followed by mentioning diplomacySettings.ini RoMsettings.ini BUFF.ini Advaced Combat Odds.ini and MapFinder.ini. I am not really sure if that is connected to the problem, for I get these warnings sometimes in other cases too.

I tried the range Civ4-BtS vanilla to Civ-BtS-RoM-NewDawn173-patchG and everything functions as it should be.

Hope this helps you, for this ModMod is a great achievement and I greatly enjoy it.
Thank you very much!

For the time being I went back to patch G and keep enjoying it until the next patch is stable.
Someone in the thread suggested to keep a copy of the last version of a MOD in a backup file. That helps for it is easy to go back one step.

Keep up the good work !
We love it!

i think the patch also effected the Culturally Linked starts:/ as i keep on getting an error now. before on patch H i did not, and the edits i made to it ie the co-ordinates worked like a charm, now it dont, and it gives me an error.

Traceback (Last call)
and the error in the file point to like 252.

Sorry about the bug in Patch H. I did fix it, originally when I posted, but my re-upload seems to have failed. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Patch H should be working fine now.
