Maine voters face historic choice on gay marriage

What specifically do you disagree about same-sex marriage?

I don't really, I just know how some people from Maine think and they are very hard to sway, but they will come around. I am not the type to really hate, but I do have to uphold my rep as a troll. I am not going to say I am all into same sex marriage, but people have to be free to make their own choices. People are no less human because they are gay, just like I am no less human because I am straight. Besides Allah loves wonderous variety.

So if you believe that we all prick the same blood, why do some people have to denied something that the majority get because they happen to love people differently.

What the hell?
troll account got hacked?

My cousin's daughter doesn't seem to be having any problems. Maybe there's something wrong with the children in my area, they haven't been taught to properly hate gays.

Why is it if you disagree with something people say you hate it?

I don't know, what's the opposite of "like" anyway?

I suppose that's true. The word "hate" is used to express a whole range of values of disapproval. That's the way people around me use it.

Hi.

I have a pair of Canadian friends who are lesbians. They got married in Canada.

They took eggs from one woman, and fertilized it using a donor. Then they implanted the embryos in the other wife.

They're now the proud married parents of twins.
This was a couple years ago. Since then, there have been even more advances in fertility research.

There are some States in the US that doesn't even recognise this couple as being married, and might deny their rights as parents. This is because these States passed laws trying to ban gay marriage, and ended up catching people in the crossfire.

Of course they could not have conceived together, since it is impossible, thus they should not have the rights to a fertility treatment, when they are fertile, but refuse to try the natural method. Banning "gay marriage" is a good thing, since it is a misnomer, since two people have never had such a privilege through out history. I will predict that all this pursuit of pleasure will be destructive. It will not seem like that in the short term, but in the long term it will.

I think we should compromise and legalize same-sex unions nationally. Different states having different rules for this makes the news repetitive.

State A is legalizing gay marriage.
State B is banning gay marriage.
State B is not recognizing State A's marriages.
State C is here and queer.
State D is is hitting on state X's bf.

Like it's getting annoying and each time there's a new series of debates...just nationalize it.

This could have been prevented by simply having a power of attorney for her partner. Very simple to do, inexpensive, and it would have solved the problem.
If it's so simple, then I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem with a straight couple not getting that right merely through an unrelated government issued license.
I don't think you understand even my fiance is laughing at you.
He is?

Agreed. Those pushing promiscuity over a move towards monogamy are keeping society on a misguided path.

Well, you can have the stance that they should be forbidden reproductive technologies, but I don't think there's much point. Additionally, we're quickly moving towards a stage where they could conceive together, so people's heads are going to have to accept the fact sooner or later.

Finally, whether or not I even agree that they should have conceived together, the fact is that they DID have twins together. And people say that they're not married. It's foolish. They've had twins together for goodness sake.

and you know it will come eventually. what's the use in dragging it out another 5-10 years? your sons will catch teh gayz eventually.....

Well I don't think its right. The world is unfair in many ways. There is too much hate, and not nearly enough common sense. I am sure over time this will change, but I am afraid it will be a long bumpy road before it happens. From what I hear most states agreed to same sex marriage, right? How many have not passed this law? Maine for one, but any other states? All the states will fall in line eventually.

Yes and I wish he would stop taking so many damn steroids, he's starting to look like big Michael, instead of petite beautiful Michelle. It's really turning me off. I love hairy backs but this is ridiculous.

Actually, how do you think non-married straight couples get that right that dont want to get married? Cause there are more than a few of them.

Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn for example. Been together for a very long time, and commited to each other in a relationship, but dont want to get married. I would think they would have that type of paperwork drawn up to protect their interests wouldnt you?

So, if non-gay non-married couples can get those documents drawn up, then why cant non-married gay couples do it?
