Conditional Events
Mass Riots - You must have a single revolt for this to occur; revolts break out in anywhere from 5 to 10% of your provinces. This is added to the above rolls if you have one revolt, so it will be 1 of 12 chance instead.
Succession War - You and a state must be the only ones to have a royal marriage with a third party. There's a 20% chance of their ruler dying each turn if this is the case, and if they do die, there's a 10% chance of a succession war. One side will be randomly chosen - 50/50 - to inherit the throne, and the other has the option of contesting it. If they don't contest it, the one who inherited it rules it under a personal union. If you contest the inheritance, you can force the defeated third party state to be ruled under you in personal union as part of the peace treaty.
Personal Union - If you have a RM with a country, there's a 10% chance of them dying each turn. When they die, there's a 20% chance - modified based on relations, to a tune of +2% for every positive relation point - that you will inherit the throne. If two countries are contenders, there will be a succession war. If there's three or more married to the country when its ruler perishes, there's a 20% chance of a personal union. If a union occurs, it will then be randomly decided which country gets to rule a nation in personal union. States in personal union have a perpetual alliance, and you control how the other nation's funds are spent, but you cannot transfer them to your nation except in the form of a loan you must pay back.
Inheritance - If you have a Personal Union, there's a 2% chance each turn of peaceful inheritance. You can decline the inheritance and continue ruling it in personal union. When you inherit a nation, all of its wealth, provinces, and armies become yours. Any tech they have above you will also become yours, and any investments in Infrastructure will be added to yours.
Succession Wars, Personal Unions, and Inheritance enhance the flavor of the game, but will not add complexity since it's handled by me as always. Get to royal marriage-ing NPCs.
Update to come soon.
