Announcement:

Religion has been made a source of two new casus belli: if the holy land of your faith is attacked, you can legally intervene to repel the invader; if the holy city of your faith is occupied by a country not of that faith, you have the right to attack at any time and repel the heathens(and let's face it, take the city for yourself). Example: Any Buddhist nation would have a casus belli on Iberia since it has vassalised Lombardy, which contains the holy city of Buddhism. By contrast, no Taoist state would have a casus belli on the Caribbean since the Aztecs are still independent in reality, even if under a PU with Caribbea.

The Emperor mandates we start an intelligence agency, and so we recruit 1 Lv. 0 spy.

With 23 gold remaining, we devote this to converting heathens and heretics. We offer to spread the Sunni faith to Canada's provinces if they will allow our missionaries entry.

The Serbian War

Austria goes first due to being the most senior nation. All 12 standing armies are sent against Italy.

Austria still has 63 income, however, and quickly raises 5 new armies at the cost of 23 gold, who are tasked with conquering

Italy, having given their money to Carthage for a worthless alliance, is finished. Austria forces them to part with all but one of their territories AND renounce their claims to Serbia. Austria now rules over all but one of Italy's provinces and Serbia.

Italy, due to being after Lombardia, still doesn't get a breather before the Lombards declare war. While one Italian force bravely decides to fight again, they are butchered by the Lombards, who conquer and annex Italy once and for all, finally getting vengeance on the nation that caused them so much grief.

Lombardia takes all of Italy's 18 gold as a prize, and since they annexed Italy, they also inherit 50% of its tech levels.

Italy is gone.

Yes, you do; more or less, vassals are controlled in foreign affairs(since you have to approve their foreign policy) and military affairs(you have free access).

Having waged a war of aggression, the other American powers take notice...

The Incas, due to their royal marriage, will not consider intervention.

That leaves Maracaibo and Guiana.

Maracaibo has a 35% chance of intervening, as does Guiana.

18% for Maracaibo, 26% for Guiana. Together they have 49 income to add to Patagonia's 26. If Argentina was to backstab Amazon(which vassals will do if they have a serious chance of winning), it would have 21 income to add, making the coalition possess 96 income per turn; Amazon, meanwhile, would lose revenue from Argentia, bringing them down to 89 income.
