Mass Effect 3

OK, so everything you said indicates that we don't really know anything we've been told by magazines, including whether or not there will be new love interests, and therefore...

... we have to take the Tweet without prior assumptions, and the Tweet is not explicit about whether there will or will not be new love interests.
I am mystified by the vehemence with which you are arguing about something that, even if you're right, proves my point.
I'm talking about the big Cerberus reveal in PrinceScamp's post. Whether or not it turns out to be true, the potential shock has already been diluted for me.

Oh well, my fault for opening the spoiler.
All true, although I wasn't aware of any "big Cerberus reveal". Cerberus really hasn't been confirmed to do anything that you wouldn't have expected.

Speaking of things you [you specifically] wouldn't have expected, are we going to be able to watch an Azale LP of ME3? :D

I'm disputing your interpretation of the Tweet.

So instead of thinking that it directly contradicts "no new LIs" because it leaves the possibility of new LIs open, you think that it doesn't directly contradict "no new LIs" because it leaves the possibility of new LIs open.

Yes, exactly.

I'm glad we've come to terms on this highly substantial and important argument.

 If I figure out how to make one, then just maybe!

Incidentally, suck it, LightSpectra:

Can't have same-sex LI for Male Shep without introducing at least one new LI.

I didn't say you were wrong, just your deduction. More grammatically precise statements was what I was looking for.

Mmmmhm.

To make this post more awesome, I shall fill it with some ME art. None of which is mine. First one is my favorite. :p

Oh, and if you need to have a two-by-four in the head to get the message (you indeterminate plural);

The Toy Story one is brilliant.

As part of the run-up to E3, IGN got their hands on part of ME3. Article is here. They put out another article on plot, but it's mostly redundant with everything else in this thread; link is in the linked article.

Some (nonspoiler) highlights:

Combat upgrade was for-real, apparently. Movement is much more fluid, you're not stuck in cover all the time, and melee works better. Two class-specific melee kill moves were highlighted: the Soldier uses a hard-light tech blade, kinda like the Sentinel's Tech Armor, and the Adept uses "blades of psionic energy". Also, we get real grenades, not the crappy ones from the first game. And combat area redesign seems to have worked, as well: it's not so straightforward anymore.

Spoiler Spoiler Highlights :
The previewed mission was on Shur'Kesh, the salarian homeworld, which, as has been mentioned, is in turmoil over the issue of the genophage. Apparently a krogan "princess" - female clan leader (Uta?) or heir apparent, obvs - is on Shur'Kesh for some reason, and Shep has to escort her off-world. (So we get to see krogan women. FINALLY.) Cerberus interferes with the relocation (presumably they don't like the idea of strong krogan), and lolfirefights ensue.

The spoiler-heavy other article gets into slightly more detail as to how this works: Wrex and Mordin - if they're alive - will be involved, although they gave no details as to how (the gameplay-heavy article had Liara/Garrus as the squad). In addition, if you didn't play LotSB or Arrival, the game assumes those events happened anyway, but you still get "something extra" (not clear what that is yet) for finishing them.

And on a slightly less important note, the previous noises about Cerberus troops dropping in in unpredictable ways and such seem to be confirmed by the second screenshot - they're using the same kind of stealth-enabled shuttle that Shep and the Dirty Dozen used in ME2. BioWare doesn't miss a trick.

In addition, the BioWare team's been tweeting about the work they've been putting into the E3 full demo, part of which is apparently going to include FemShep. Squeeeeeeeee

Why the hell do developers keep giving IGN early interviews and previews, no one wants to read their crappy articles.

Soldier uses a hard-light tech blade
I saw a picture of the ME3 boxart last night, Shep has an omni-tool with a light-blade-thing coming out of it in his left hand and a pistol in his right.

Placeholder boxart from the EA online store. It caused a brief panic on BSN when people thought that it meant that the 360 version would involve Kinect.

We don't know if it will or not. BW staff don't address rumors; you'll have to wait a few days for E3 to find out.

Aaaand Kinect was just confirmed at the Microsoft E3 Press Conference. Cool stuff.

It's apparently used for issuing squad commands and selecting dialogue options. Pretty neat, actually.

It sure is. I only go there when CFC and other places get overly boring.
