There will be natural attrition. But the ship will get righted soon enough.

Ok so I took my turn. A couple things ...

1. I checked my settings and the flex difficulty is off. So yay!

2. I tried to chnage my civ name from "Hydron Empire" to "Hydronian Empire" and its not allowing me to change it. Has anyone else been able to chnage it on their 2nd turn?

Anywho, your turn Vokarya.

I wasn't able to change to Empire's name, but I think the Dynamic civ name kicked in so it made sense.
I was able to change my leader's name I believe.

Taking my turn now. I'm thinking though that this ten player game may be unsustainable and that we may need to whittle it down to five of so in the near future.

That's why I wanted to encourage discussion of less tightly coupled models, but that thread really hasn't gone anywhere so far.

From 7 till 10 pm CST time this evening I have a Church Board Mtg. Will check the thread when I get back.

Where is the Time frame per player list at anyway?

Taking my turn now. I noticed the save game file dropped in size after I took my turn -- it went from 688K to 650K. Any idea why? I don't know if I should update the SVN or not.

Also, I tried changing my game password and it wouldn't change. I'm wondering if the Your Details is fixed after the first turn.

I'm not against it, but I know that you do a LOT of work for C2C and don't want to push you to add more burdens, on top of all of your AI, performance, and Multi-Maps work.

Don't worry about how long it takes to go through a turn cycle. The way I see it is that when viewers watch our lets plays the turns will seem instant since all this waiting time between turns is cut out. It will be interesting to see this game from the perspective of 6 players and that's what will last for a long time!

So as not to hold things up any more, I've uploaded my save. Mega Nix is up now. Let me know if anything seems weird.

I'm about to take my turn now:) I will also make an AAR text/Picture version

Edit: Done. Thunderbird now

Awesome! When turn 3 begins ill fix up the first post with the correct turn order and who's doing a lets play. Here's advice about uploading though that I posted somewhere on the first page of this thread:

1 episode = Ten turns across all lets plays to keep them in sync.

1 lets play thread per lets player. 1 post per episode in that lets play thread. Don't post your actual lets plays here... you can post links to them though so I can add them to the episode tracking area (post 2 of this thread).

Post your lets plays with a 10 turn delay like so:

Immediately after turn 20 - post episode 1 (turns 1-10)
Immediately after turn 30 - post episode 2 (turns 11-20)
Immediately after turn 40 - post episode 3 (turns 21-30)
Immediately after turn 50 - post episode 4 (turns 31-40)
Immediately after turn 60 - post episode 5 (turns 41-50)

DON'T FORGET TO START GETTING SCREENSHOTS OR WHATEVER YOU NEED ON YOUR FIRST TURN (AND OTHER ONES) BUT REMEMBER NOT POST THEM OR CREATE YOUR INDIVIDUAL LETS PLAY THREAD UNTIL TURN 20 WHEN YOU POST EPISODE 1 (TURNS 1-10)

So first episode will be published early next year is my forecast...

T-Brd and Praetyre's "normal" turns are late evening are they not?

Also with the adjustments being made to traits we will eventually need to update the SVN. But currently there seems to be some serious weirdness with promotions. According to the bug thread that is.

Yes, not sure why they didn't get to take turns last night, but I don't know how late things ran. Anyway - looks like 2-3 days per turn will be the standard.

Is there a way to skip their turn if they are not active?

No. We'd need someone to act as a proxy player for everyone who was absent, so they would need to know all the passwords.

I could do this 'somewhat' - like I couldn't do it 24hr a day obviously - but if we perhaps divided the players into 3 (with 3 proxies) had a timer on the OP and if someone misses the turn it sends a sms or email or something?? idk just speculating how it could work.

I hope not. I think we just need 1 adjustment cycle to get the train back on the track. And that might take a day or 2 to accomplish. We've got an accordion effect going on right now.

Edit: I watched a couple of Astrals latest episodes and it was Highly entertaining. Although there were several time I tried to reach into the screen to get him to click on the right promotion or building.

I did go to bed a bit early last night (about midnight) but I don't think it would've mattered. I believe Mega's turn came in long after I would've been able to hold out.

EDIT: it shows around 12 noon on my post time and its about 9AM here so given that Mega's turn post was at 9:47, I'd have had to have been up til about 7 am to have taken my turn 'last night'. I'm thinking Praetyre can take his turn around the time I can at earliest, which was about 12 hrs ago so we're stillyet to get on track. If Vokarya takes his turn too late, Mega's comes in with severe delay, which was the turn time issue that was created by Mega missing out on being able to get setup fast enough to get in the first turn before Vokarya's. I warned that could cause a 48 hr turn cycle and it may be doing just that. Anyhow, I'll shut up and go take my turn now ;)

YEAH!!!! :woohoo:
