I agree here too.

We can agree to apply the same logic to that. That works for me.

In fact if you have Caves the Cave Dwelling will still be very useful. The Bonus it gives are very useful that make it a priority to me if I have Caves in the city.

Sure, just agree not to build it before we upgrade, because if one person takes a GA we'll have to wait for everyone to do so, and that could be quite a long time (several hundred turns)

Can we even update versions at all? I thought Lock Modified Assets was on and that would stop us from making any adjustments.

It can be hacked to off if need be.

Then I'd prefer we didn't update versions at all. I don't want to be changing the fundamental rules of the game every 20 or so turns given the speed of update schedules and the slowness of the game.

An example: if multi-maps are ever implemented, how would we go back and alter the current game to include them? I don't think we can do that, but the game code at that point would be expecting it.

IMO we have to, because the traits were way off balance in the version we are running. Try playing with 5 extra crime per turn per pop over 15 population...

Could you do a patch just for that, or just update the files with the trait info? I see what you are saying we need to fix now, but if we keep updating, I think we will break the game completely at some point.

Meganix was on earlier today wonder why he didn't take his turn? :(

I have downloaded the mod again, but I still get Runtime Error when I try to load the save game. I don't know what is wrong  I have Windows 8 but the game worked before

I've never used Win8, but a few basics:

Does Civ4 run without C2C?
Does C2C run on it's own? That is, can you start a single player game with the MP version?
You are using the special version in a mod folder called "C2C MP", yes?

I know what's wrong! I have a folder called C2CMP in a folder called C2CMP, so when I tried to load the save game it used Vanilla CIV to open it

No is not that. In My SVN there is the C2C folder and inside it there is another C2C folder and a save+turn folder. I have to update on my desktop because I get access denied even then I make ownership of the files.

But turn done It's now Il principe

Looks like Il Principe isn't too interested or RL is in the way.
