I opened the wrong game first... lol. Anyhow, my turn is complete. Gotta love them free techs huh Joe? I got one a number of rounds back too which helped to get me caught up from the missed turns trying to find a good spot to plant my city.

I'm about to be swarmed by hawks next round... just about all my units in the field have a hawk to face between now and the next turn. Perhaps their species should be dubbed an official enemy of the state eh? (I like weak enemies lol)

Yeah last turn I went around a bend only to find a moose staring me in the face. All I can do next round is wait for the moose to kill me since I cannot run.

That happened to me in RL once (thankfully RL moose, while easily provoked, are not automatically going to attack if you don't provoke them!) I was hiking along a trail and passed by a rare window to a little pond that I had not expected to suddenly open up to my right and low and behold a HUGE moose, rack and all, raised his head from his mossy feast and stared at me with a slightly startled expression, which I'm sure was causing me to give him a startled expression back, which I'm sure made him all the more unnerved and in turn me as well. I backed away very carefully but yeah, he was within 5 feet of me or so when I came up on him. Felt lucky he didn't feel the need to defend himself!

Unfortunately for our units... those big animals always just attack! lol Sorry for your loss my friend.
