One of my aunts was in the marketing departement that did the whole McDonalds pizza introduction. She was the one that tought about using the mcdonald's M as the z's in pizza!
I remember them being introduced in Edmonton in 1994 or so. Apparently they were a marketing disaster and lost all kinds of money.
I also note that McDonald's franchises in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia serve McLobster sandwiches. I've never had one, though, so I can't comment on their tastiness.
Here in New England they had those McLobsters for some time... somewhere around the turn of the millenium.
Also I was a baby in those pizza days, so don't ask me anything about them. But they probably sucked.
I remember Maccas here used to sell fried chicken about ohhh 15 years ago
They also tried to sell crumbed pawns with prawn chips at outragous prices. (way to expensive)
It's also artificially laced with sugar, so that your blood sugar quickly spikes and then crashes, making you hungry soon after eating (and making the food chemically habit-forming in the not-so-long run).
