MECHANIZED INFANTRY PACK
Not of all models I had the right blueprints (as the type 89) to make
A texture as i like!
I tryed to copy what The_Coyote made with my Ariete, giving them the Gloss map...
but I was only able to make the material a little dark... :-(

Meshes uploaded on standard mechanizedinfantry.nif and uses its animations (NOT INCLUDED)
The traks are from type 97 Chi-Ha (reshaped). The pilot turret is copied from Snafusmith CV9040
Texture. blueprint found in internet and coloured (there'se also a part of the type 97 (author Unknown)

I followed the suggestions of Edil to make the shadow under some turrets

Japanese Type 89: my 1st version, I had good Blueprints
Italian Dardo: my 3rd version, completely re-modelled
German marder: my 2nd version, completely re-modelled
Argentinian Tam Vctp: my 2nd version, re-modelled from marder
French Amx10P: my 1st version
British Warrior: I've changed only the light in the material and the texture
Spanish Pizzaro: I didn't have the blueprints, I remodelled the Marder
by looking the photos I've found in Internet

I think, they look great. But aren't some of the skins a little bit too dark with little contrast? Or is it just the screenshot?

Thanks :)! i think You're right... I troubled to find the right light to them.. usually I prefer more dark rather then more bright, cause it looks more military. I think the right way is to give them gloss map and green metal map as The_Coyote made... but when I thought to have understood the way, It happened that they were too much bright...:(
 
Nice model :) i have checked the marder and there unfortunally you can´t add a shader [the model is not rigged to thre armature, it´s linked to the armature direct -you must assign the vertices in your 3d program already to assign a shader later]. But i´m not sure if the material properties of the mesh have the vlaues you want, there your model is made a lot darker than the texture is

[open the nif in nifscope - select the mesh - NiMaterialProperty - set Ambient Color and Diffuse Color to full white]

I've imagined that... but i'm still not able to do a nif file directly with the 3ds (I have to dedicate time to understand well this procedure), By the way for some models I've found ok the light You've chosen for the Ariete (for example the Dardo, that it was hard to do a no bright euro camo...), the marder has a draw coloured texture found in internet... and I've darkned to make it more similar to real camo colours rather than the draw that it is... To make it not similar to a paper texture... excuse me for my English... I hope to be not complicated in the explaining the problem...

yes i know it´s hard but you already made great progress (do you remember the time where you said you can´t model - and now look at your self made models - so i only want you to push step by step ;) ). And from one second language speaker to another, your english is not bad, at least i understand what you say :)

Can you make AMX10 without turet,I would like to use that unit for some kind of armored transporter or something.

Thank You! I can do the amx10 without turret... but I don't know how to do with the cannon effects... do You want them or not?
 
hmm...for some reason I can't get the French mechanized infantry to work. (My game crashes)

All the other Mechanized Infantries work like a charm ~ great work.

Thank You... In my game it works... strange, are You sure to don't have made errors in the text (to me happens realy often :mischief:)... Otherwise...I hope to have not made something wrong in the material assignation, cause I've used the cannon (only the tube) of the marder and joined to the amx.
 
I don't think I did and if I did...I check the xml 3 times. I just keep getting a overrun buffer error or something like that.

I'VE JUST TESTED the one I've uploaded: I do not know why You have this problem. I hope that anyone here could explain, to me there are no problems in my game :confused: Could be that the turret is made with a lot of poligons (I cancelled how many faces I could)...???

Sorry :confused:... often I wonder about the misteries of nif files... could The_Coyote know more about?

Thank You Simpa :), is interesting the way Type 90 appears in Your game, have You recoloured? If Yes could You upload?
